Been to this location 3 times in the past month and a half. On the first visit our waitress didn't write down our orders (there were 3 of us), and when the food came to the table, one of the orders was wrong. Not sure if it was the waitresses fault for not remembering what we ordered, or maybe the cook didn't read the order right. We didn't ask to send it back. It was still good, just not what we ordered.
On our second visit we got a different waitress. One of us ordered a grilled cheese sandwich on wheat and asked that it be LIGHTLY toasted. We did get it lightly toasted, but it was on white bread. The waitress took it back to the kitchen & when she brought a new one back it was, let's say, very, very well done - even black around the edges. Had to scrape the "char" off of it and eat it anyway, as we didn't want to wait that long again for a third sandwich.
Tonight was out third visit. Got seated and our drinks fairly quickly, but then waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. (There were only 4 or 5 other occupied tables when we came in and at least 2 waitresses.) Two of our orders were wrong when they arrived. They fixed one of them, but it took a little bit. On the other it took literally 20 minutes to correct - and all it was was a missing order of fries. No offer to refill our waters or soft drinks until we had finished and already received our check. I might add that our waitress seemed very frantic, as she did when she waited on us during our first visit. The manager on duty did come to our table to apologize. He said the problem was in the kitchen and that he had a back-up/fill-in cook there that night that "didn't really read English all that well". He added that she is currently taking English classes, which is great... but I feel that reading & fully understanding the English language should be a prerequisite BEFORE giving someone a position as a cook in an establishment that serves American food.
Used to come to this location weekly - sometimes daily - but the service has really gone downhill in the past year or so. The food is tasty enough once you get what you order, but the service is very slow in the kitchen, and in the dining room.
Tip: Ask for Tiara or Vanessa to wait on you. If there, you'll...
Read moreWe were traveling and had stayed at a local motel so we went in there for brunch the next morning. We stood at the counter waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes before someone even walked over there, and then she seated an elderly man before us that had walked in after us. But that was fine, we understood, and we waited for her to come back and seat us but she never did. She didn't forgot, she simply ignored us. The place was busy enough but half of the tables were empty so it wasn't because there was no place to be seated or because they were too busy to handle another couple, there were three or four waitresses, plenty of staff. Finally a waiter noticed we hadn't been seated yet, came over to seat us and got our drink order, was very nice, and told us a waitress would get us shortly for our food order. The waitresses continued to seat everyone else that walked in and even got their food orders. We sat there another 13 to 15 minutes before we saw a waitress walk towards us. But she stopped at the table before us and asked that couple if their food was good and if she could get them anything else, then she walked away. She knew we were there and she knew we did not have anything but drinks but for whatever reason, walked away. We then caught the attention of the nice waiter, asked for to-go cups, and offered to pay for the drinks, he gave them to us complimentary and apologized for the poor service. We left and went to Burger King next door. Much better experience. We have never been completely ignored before at a restaurant. It was the oddest experience. I don't know if they don't like visitors or what it was. But a really terrible way to run a business. After reading other reviews similar with rudeness and poor service, and someone responding with apologies, I would think these waitresses would be fired and replaced. No customer service skills. Do they know who pays their wages? I will never walk in that place again. I hope others...
Read moreI wish I could rate 0. Never got past the waiting area. Family of 4, with a toddler. We were starving after playing on the beach for a few hours and decided at 2:45 pm to sit down and have a meal. There was no one at the front desk and saw one waitress that looked at us but didn’t acknowledge at all. Then the male host came to the front as 2 separate parties had just come up there to pay. He took care of them and said be with u guys in a moment to us. Then continued a phone call with someone needing assistance with something he didn’t know how to do. Asked them to hold and continued with cashing out customers that were done eating, more kept coming and paying and we still sat waiting. 15minutes after our arrival another party of 5 came in also waiting to be seated, another woman had come to help male host cash out people and when done she walked away. He then proceeded to pick the phone back up as the person had hung up and called back and the waitress answered and brought it to him again, and he walked away. We left after waiting for over 20min when it wasn’t busy as far as tables and their acceptable occupancy. It took him 5min to cash out just one customer because he made a mistake and had them pay someone else’s bill. Also the other 3 people that came up to pay after the initial 2 were way after us sitting for at least 10min waiting. If it was slammed I would understand but it wasn’t at all. I guess they don’t realize that the customers cashing out that have already had service can wait a moment for you to seat someone because they are satisfied and the customers waiting to be seated were first, and getting more money in the door and started keeps the flow, we walked out and the group of 5 that came in after us and were waiting also left. That’s 9 customers!!! Minimum 90$ I’m sure in orders, ours would have been at least $60 plus as a bartender I tip well. Very...
