I originally left a positive review, however my last experience has been so negative that I had to change my review. Now I'm rethinking ever coming here again. I've been to this baja fresh three times. The first time I ordered a burrito (mexicano), I thought it was delicious, so I went back another time, got the diablo burrito, had no issues. However the third time I've been here is regrettable. I got the mexicano again. Ate it on a Friday, was feeling so so on Saturday. Stomach felt a little strange, but I still had an appetite, so I didn't pay it much attention. Sunday is when I really started to feel the after effects. I got such a bad stomachache. At one point I even had a pain in my side. Then once my stomach stopped hurting I got a terrible headache. As I'm typing this my stomach still hurts on and off, and I don't know when it will be back to normal. This has been a crappy experience. Although the burrito was good, it was filled with too many beans, hence the source of my stomach hurting (too much fiber). I remember thinking to myself after I ate the burrito "at least I got my serving of beans for today lol," but looking back it was just too many. I agree with the one reviewer about how their burritos don't taste bad but they're lacking something. For that reason and the other reason I just discussed, I don't plan on coming back here. I also noticed two other reviews that raised eyebrows: rotting salad bar and broken air condition. Seeing reviews like that makes me wonder about this place. If they don't even freshen their salad bar or fix their ac, then how do they manage to operate an efficient kitchen?? The answer is they probably don't, who knows if the food is kept at a decent temperature, or if the employees are clean people. Needless to say, I'm done with this place. I don't usually see a lot of customers in here, even on a Friday, and that should've been a sign. My best advice is to make your own Mexican food at home. It's probably cheaper to buy the ingredients from the grocery store, plus you can make enough food to last you for days, instead of spending $8 on one burrito. I know everyone's body is different and food effects all of us differently, but just to be on the safe side I would stay away from this place. I hope I can help someone else who reads...
Read moreAs our local Baja Fresh closed about ten years ago, we now frequent the Timonium location a lot. Our commute to get to this location is about 40 minutes. We order two burrito Mexicanos every time. One for our kid, who cannot eat it all and one that my husband and I split. We always request cutting them in half to make it easier for us to handle. We used to request for one to be put on a separate plate as well, (just for one of the burritos). It was never a problem until recently when the female night manager handed my husband paper trays to use because, I’m assuming they want to save the plastic take out plates. Tonight she said they wouldn’t be handing out the paper plates anymore because of cost - (her words). We only required one paper plate lol. We have been loyal patrons of Baja Fresh for many many years. During COVID, we would make the drive and call in our order and we helped keep the place in business. Sadly though, I felt the need to write this review tonight because we feel disrespected by the female night manager. Not only does she not want to give us an extra plate, but she made a comment when my husband got us drink refills. Keep in mind that several of their locations have closed. You’d think they want to keep their customers. It’s $40 plus dollars for two burritos and three drinks. I feel like she’s taking it personal that we ask for an extra plate…....
Read moreThis might be the worst burrito I've ever got in my life. They did not put it in the microwave but it is just as dry as if it was microwaved. I don't know what made them think it was a good idea to put my sour cream on shredded lettuce. I chose to get my burrito enchilados style, but I don't know where that went. I guess when they threw it back in the broiler to melt the cheese the sauce just evaporated. My wife got a Baja blast bowl and she said it too was made of sand. From now on I think we'll just stick with Qdoba. I've never got a bad thing from Qdoba. I can honestly say I will never eat here again. And I'm going to make sure everyone...
