My recent visit to Skyzone in Timonium, Maryland, with my children, ages 7 and 11, was incredibly disappointing and left much to be desired. As a parent merely supervising, I had hoped for a fun and engaging environment for my kids, but the reality was far from it.To begin with, several of the main attractions we were looking forward to were non-operational. The zip line, wipe out machine, and rock wall, which were among the reasons we chose Skyzone, were all out of service. This was particularly frustrating as there had been no prior notice given on their website or at the venue itself, leading to a significant letdown for my excited children. The dodgeball area, one of the few attractions still open, was in a sorry state. The balls were in terrible condition, with no vinyl covering left, just foam that was flaking and falling apart. It was disheartening to see my children handling these poor-quality materials, which also raised concerns about safety and hygiene.Another point of frustration was the locker system being out of order. Without a secure place to store our belongings, I found myself constantly vigilant over our items, detracting from my ability to relax and enjoy watching my children play.Despite the apparent lack of maintenance and the closure of major attractions, Skyzone still charged the full admission price. There was no acknowledgment of the compromised experience or any gesture of compensation, which felt unfair considering the circumstances. The cleanliness of the facility was also subpar. The floors were dirty and littered with debris, contributing to an environment that felt neglected and unwelcoming. It was disappointing to see such disregard for cleanliness in a place meant for children. In summary, our visit to Skyzone Timonium fell far short of expectations. The broken attractions, poor maintenance, inadequate facilities, and lack of cleanliness greatly diminished our experience. It was disheartening to see my children's excitement turn to disappointment. Based on this visit, I cannot recommend Skyzone Timonium to...
Read moreI recently had my daughter's birthday party (glow) here and I was not impressed for the amount of money I spent. There was a long wait for everything and it seemed to be ran by lots of unexperienced teenagers. I did see one of the managers and she seemed just as clueless as the teens. I had all of my party guests fill out waivers to make the check in process quicker.....still a long wait! T- shirt sizes for glow party was really limited. It's almost impossible to get party all the exact shirt/color/style. Shirts were not organized and just a mess of a process. Socks were the only thing neatly sorted.
The kids had a great time jumping and running around. I never heard a birthday shout out for my kid but I did hear one for another party going on.
We were told we could set up in party room since there was not a party going on prior to ours. The floor was dirty and the floor was so sticky, every time you walked across floor uour feet stuck. There were crumbs and bigger pieces of food left in chairs.... Clearly no one cleaned up this room!
Party staff was pretty much MIA the entire time, never really came to check in. Then I had to look for her for the kids to eat. No party announcement on the mic. I had to send the kids to find everyone in party to eat.
We had an ice cream cake after pizza.... Cake started melting and staff was MIA again. I had to track down another staff member to put cake in freezer. Party fee is too expensive to not get great service. I basically paid about $500 for this party for 10 kids. We did purchase extra pizzas and a ice cream cake. Totally not worth it! I would never recommend someone to have a party here. Skating party service so much better! Great for kids fun but don't expect too much...
Read moreHorrible experience! The manager a young woman with an Australian accident was very careless and rude! My 4 year old wanted to get on the battle pit and there were two kids being super agressive intentionally. They were looking to hurt another child you could tell. The court monitor blew the whistle at them several times but the kids did not listen. They were about 12 years old and literally rammed the foam bar into my 4 year olds chest. There are kids just jumping in and out the pit with no structure while kids are up top hitting each other off SUPER dangerous that was my point to the manager what happens if someone falls on top of another child. While I understand the manager saying that is the point of the game the point I am sure safety is important as well so for her to make crazy faces and even joke about it when I walk away with the court monitor is unacceptable. This is a horrible place! I am apart of the Baltimore county mom committee and will make sure to never recommend this place. You have a crying child on the side with a hurt ankle no injury report or court monitor need them and the monitors just carelessly starring into space. My kids decided to end jumping with 30 min left and the management wouldn’t even give me the last 30 min on a gift card for the kids! This place is under extremely poor management. I will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward especially when management is to careless to care about customer service believe it or not customer service is what even keeps a business open so instead of her going back and forth with me about the games purpose an apology and just saying they’ll be more aware would have...
