The sushi was okay,I've had better for much cheaper. I had a groupon/living social deal so I decided to check it out. When we walked in, no one directed us to a seat, so after standing for about 2-3 minutes we decided to sit down at a vacant table. The lady came by about 3 minutes later and took our order for drinks. When we asked her to explain some of the sushi they offered, she did not understand us well enough to explain. We decided to be safe and order our favorite, shrimp tempura. It was very expensive but we decided to chalk it up to the location of the establishment. This is where everything went down hill. We noticed the chef introduce himself to every table except ours and our hostess ignored us while chatting with other parties while we tried to flag her down for additional beverages. When she finally came to our table she quickly took our drinks, refilled them then went back to talking to other tables. We decided at that point we would leave after paying the bill without a tip. As we signed the receipt and got up to leave, the lady ran to the table and yelled "Excuse Me!" so we turned around and she said "Their is no tip here. The bill not include tip" I was immediately upset because I've never been confronted about not leaving a tip. She told us we needed to leave a tip and we informed her that we did not appreciate the lack of service we received in the establishment. She ended by saying "Its okay if you don't want to leave no tip, it is fine." We will NEVER go back nor pay astronomical prices for...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend love yamato, we 1st started going about 6 years ago however i recently in the last 2 years have known i need to be gluten free for allergy purposes. We stopped going until about a month ago when we saw they offered gluten free. I called and spoke to them on the phone after asking about it and how it was prepared, I felt safe, and even was recommended a second roll to get instead of just getting 2 of the same. I ate it, and it was just as I remembered. Amazing! I didn’t get sick so we went back.
We love the service. Always very respectful and helpful. However today we ordered, and after getting in the car I noticed it was in the same container with my girlfriends, which was not gluten free. Went back in to see if they could just remake it. As I had stated on the phone I needed them to be prepared gluten free. They agreed to no worries, but then I watched them only separate the existing into new separate boxes and try to return it to me. When I asked, just to make sure, they did then admit and remake it.
I was recently really sick from a restaurant, and trusted them. But after today for anyone with a gluten allergy due to Celiac or any other disease or condition, dine at your...
Read moreI can't say enough about Yamato Sushi. The food is always fresh and innovative, the service is quick, the staff are welcoming, and the owners are always smiling. We love that they have ingredients we can't find most other places like black rice and have creative sushi not found anywhere else.
They're also so welcoming to my son. We've been going here since before he even had teeth (and long before he was born actually), and they are always so warm and friendly with him. He is now 10yo and this is his very favorite restaurant.
Parking is easy, it's handicap accessible, and even when it's busy, we've never had trouble getting a table.
Hands down our favorite place to eat (the only other being our favorite Greek restaurant since we're Greek). We used to live in the area and now drive up just to eat here. Highly recommend supporting a great restaurant with terrific food and a...
