Poke Bowl — Restaurant in Timonium

I've visited this particular location on numerous locations and I love the atmosphere, the food, and the location. I even like this location better than the one in Hunt Valley further up the road. There are usually the same two people working, there's a male and a female and they are the only two people that I've seen working here since the business opened. I would've given the business 5 stars but, the lady who works their her attitude is horrible. She isn't friendly to say the least and in my opinion she isn't a people person at all. She always seems to have this snooty attitude every time I come in to patron their business. The guy is amazing on the other hand, they are like complete opposites, he's friendly, laughs a little, and always greets his customers the moment they walk through the door. I wish he would just stay in the front of the restaurant and the women would just go in the back and prepare the food, clean dishes, etc. (anything that has to do with not interacting with the customers). If you're in the mood for a mix of yummy healthy stuff thrown into a bowl with more combinations then the amount of stars in the sky then this place is your new home. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and they're always very generous when compiling your bowl. The place is quiet, the decorations are upbeat, and the staff is super polite. You'll find some parallels with the one in Towson in both selection and taste. That's a good thing! I stopped here for lunch today totally on a whim. Poke Bowl and Sushi Burritos? Really? Sounded kind of unorthodox, at best.

I went for a poke bowl and was pleasantly surprised. While some of the ingredients wouldn’t pass muster in Honolulu, I was impressed with the quality of the fish, fresh and in nice-sized chunks. Overall, very tasty, even if the flavors and ingredients seem to have been tailored to suit American tastes.

The prices were reasonable, the portions good and the service pleasant. I’d come back for a repeat visit when I’m back...
