The California Way Gourmet Sandwiches — Restaurant in Tinley Park

We absolutely love Happy Bites, and The California Way has pretty good reviews so we wanted to give it a go. We ordered the chicken Caesar wrap combo, chicken club wrap combo, grilled cheese, sweet potato tots, loaded fries and a small fry. The loaded fries and small fries were good and crunchy, however everything else was pretty disappointing. None of the chicken was seasoned well at all, the tots weren't seasoned at all and were mushy. The grilled cheese was just cheddar cheese thrown on a hoagie bun and overly toasted. Also we ordered combos but didn't receive any chips and only one soda. Probably won't order...

I can feel my lifespan decreasing every time I eat those fried pickles, but they're way too delicious to put down.

The best wrap on the menu is hands down the spicy chicken bacon ranch wrap. Don't let the "spicy" deter you, it doesn't taste spicy to me at all. They also have a nice variety of salads to choose from and you can't go wrong with any of them.

The ghost fries, the garlic parm fries, and the onion rings are good. If you're willing to pay $9 for a side, the loaded fries are also good. The 3 layer carrot cake is good, it's soft and moist.

This place is so amazing. The IMPOSSIBLE burger actually tastes impossible, you don’t taste beans or anything like that. It just tastes identical to a burger but it’s vegetarian, best thing ever if you don’t eat red meat. Best to buy in a combo meal, if you buy separately your total is almost $20. Staff is extremely attentive and makes sure to accommodate to your needs. Though I was being charged $18 and my total dropped to $12 once i asked If i couldn’t get my burger as a combo instead of everything being charged separately, other than that lovely place. 100%...
