I wouldn't rate them a single star if it was an option. We drove from Troy, specifically for the play area. My daughter had been asking all evening to go when daddy got home. I hadn't realized when we arrived at 6:53 that the play area would be closed at 7. The chairs outside of the play area, in the back of the common area, had already been placed up on the tables. Which I'm pretty sure isn't allowed. My 1 year old almost pulled one down on himself and I was holding his hand. There was a family in the playroom, so I assumed it was okay to let my kids play for FIVE MINUTES while we waited on our dinner. I take it this was not okay by the way a female employee slammed our food down on the table (in an area that was still open) and snickered. I asked my husband to get her name as I was getting my kids situated. They refused to give her name because she was a minor. So what are we supposed to tell corporate when we call? That doesn't seem fair to not hold her accountable. If a minor can't act professional while on the clock, seems to me like she shouldn't be working at the facility in the first place. I tried my best to ignore the conversation between my husband and the manager on the clock. But when two employees who were sitting directly next to me and my kids started talking crap, saying they'd claim to be the manager if anybody ever asked and that the playroom closed at 7. I was very considerate of the playroom's closing time, as I literally only let my kids play until 7. They were hungry and ready to eat. But after sitting for a couple minutes listening to those employees talk about my family, I got up, told my husband to ask for a bag because I was ready to leave. How can I sit down and enjoy a meal when half of the employees are literally talking bad about us SIMPLY BECAUSE WE PLAYED IN THE PLAYROOM 5 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSE. Unbelievable and we will not be going back. I'll be sharing this story elsewhere as well and calling corporate. You can't use "she's a minor" as an excuse for awful behavior. She clearly isn't mature enough to...
Read moreSo, I have had a lot of ok experiences at this mcdonalds. Not a lot of Very bad ones, not a lot of amazing ones. The average rating of the place is 3.5 right now, and thats probably about right. To put this in context, i grew up here and have been to this mcdonalds hundreds of times probably over the years. This was definitely just about my worst experience today. Went thru the line, ordered a happy meal, nuggets, fries, burger. Was asked to pull forward (one other car in line, 230ish in the afternoon), and i very politely asked how long I was going to need to wait, and what for? The girl at the window couldnt answer and then shut the window. A moment later some guy with some super nasty painted nails that were all kinds of crusty and un washed in a green shirt leans out the window and starts trying to do this weird intimidation thing and is like”you need to pull forward. To wait for your food. Now.” I again say as nice as i can, “sure if you can just tell me what im waiting for and how long?” The guy then does this hilariously awkward thing where hes trying to flex his arm while pointing and is like “your order, and soon.” I didnt want to laugh at the guy, but he didn’t answer my question, so i say, “how long exactly is soon?” He then shuts the window while glaring at me, and a moment later sticks a bag out at me while trying to glare/stare me down and generally letting me know that hes super alpha and i should be very intimidated. We got home, and we had been given a bunch of cold food and a smashed burger with like a quarter slice of bacon. So i guess they showed us the price of asking for concrete numbers and facts. Be warned though, scraggly haired crusty nailed green shirt guy will give you cold food at this mcdonalds if you dont follow his alpha directions. He will protect this mcdonalds and to all who threaten his power or time management, he will crush with his mighty arms and an avalanche of cold food and stingy...
Read moreEven though we decided to eat in because drive thru was way backed up. Our food was brung to us our fries was cold so much salt on them made even a heavey salt user such as my mom even made her gag. My sandwich was not even remotely made right. When explain to a cashier "NO" onions you are allergic to them and she tells you she will make sure manager knows so my sandwich is made with fresh gloves and make sure no onions are anywhere on sandwich and you only want ketchup n pickle only to unwrap sandwich and whats on it double the onion mustard and yet no ketchup no pickle. Mind you I'm the only one at table who ordered sandwich this way all our fries where barely lukewarm I took my sandwich which I might add was a double hamburger a 2 medium fries and one large up to counter mind you took me saying "EXCUSE ME" loudly before I was even acknowledged even though a cashier looked at me so did a manager and one other employee and still ignored me took another 5 minutes to be acknowledged when the manager same one who looked at me and ignored me asked what could he do to help me I set the tray of fries on counter explained the situation and even showed my sandwich to manager I didnt even get I'm sorry we will make it right. Instead tray of fries taken in haste from as he screamed he needed 2 medium and one large and then proceeded to give the poor teenagers on backline a reprimand so customers in line and other employees heard it to which it was handled all wrong. Took 3 more times to get my simple double hamburger right,by now the others are now done with their meal. I expressed my opinion to the manager I'd just like my money back. I got told we cant due refunds but would be gladly send me out some free burgers of my choice and free fries!! Im still waiting on them oh by the way this was 3 weeks ago. So be warned don't eat at Sidney Ohio, McDonald if you want food done right and want eat alone when rest of your friends are...
