Faye's Northside Restaurant — Restaurant in Tipton

This hidden secret off the beaten path and on a little side street in an already low-traffic smalltown is absolutely delightful! Everything about this place will have you feeling like you took a step back in time...from the super-yummy and seemingly home-cooked menu offerings (Don't forget a slice of pie "to go" once you are stuffed and can't bare to finish your last couple bites!) To the waitresses who are extremely "real" people who don't act overly nice just to secure a bigger tip or hide their feelings because it's socially unexceptable not to hours. Pay attention to their daytime hours which are most likely to accommodate the Midwest's stereotypical early to rise working man, in other words you unfortunately won't be eating dinner here while he's back home with his family after work. If you're anywhere near Tipton, Faye's is definitely worth a try, but you probably won't just happen upon it while passing through, target your GPS to make this...

We ordered a couple specials to pick up. First off there was NO chicken in the chicken and noodles! I did find a small bone with chicken skin on it but no chicken. The broth was so watery, it bearly had any chicken flavor. The mashed potatos were Iinstant so the noodles/broth just turned them into potato water. The other meal (green beans, sausage and potatoes) was made with canned green beans. Not good.... The two lunches "to go" were just over $19! Totally ridiculous considering what we ended up with. the breaded pork tenderloin was just ok. it didn't taste like a piece of pork that had been pounded, but like pork that I had been processed and put back together . a lot better than Jim dandy, but not nearly as good as ti-on.
