The Tiptonian — Hotel in Tipton

We had such a lovely weekend staying here. We were in town for a wedding at The Carnegie in nearby Elwood, and The Tiptonian was a perfect spot for our family to stay. We loved the individual charm given to each room - I stayed in the Pink Room and absolutely fell in love with the personal touches in the decorations and the attention to detail given to the space.

Andrea was wonderful when we were planning our stay - she answered all of our questions and made our booking process a breeze. She had wonderful suggestions of things to do in the surrounding area - I wish we had more time in Tipton proper so we could have taken advantage of everything that was nearby. She also made sure we were stocked with the necessities and had plenty of ice, water, coffee, towels, and blankets, and stopped by as we were arriving to make sure the heating was on, as it was a chilly weekend and she wanted to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible! It's so refreshing to have a host that clearly cares about their space and takes pride in it.

The Mad Tap being located right downstairs was incredibly convenient - the staff there is so lovely, and the food and drinks were stellar. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, we felt right at home hanging out for a few hours. We were a little nervous about the noise levels staying right above a bar, but it was remarkably quiet for how close it is. We could only hear faint music when it was absolutely silent in our rooms. Otherwise, we never noticed it.

All in all the hotel is phenomenal. It's such a welcoming, comfortable place, and we loved feeling like we were coming into a space that we could fully relax and unwind in after our various events this weekend. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we're...

The best of the old & the new. Very old brick building, newly renovated with all new everything - windows & treatments, mini splits and ceiling fans in each room, en suite bathrooms, electronic locks, televisions, and beds. Great mix of colors, vintage & antique furniture, and decor. Cozy room sizes with lots of common space for just 5 rooms. Huge patio attached to the restaurant & tap room. Great location in downtown Tipton. I just spent one night there but I slept like a baby and couldn’t hear any of the other guests. Lots of hot water in the shower in the morning....

The Tiptonian was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for our night out, as it’s located right above a brewery and much to our surprise it was quiet! It has 2 common areas one which includes a refrigerator and kitchen amenities.
