East Street Inn & Suites — Hotel in Tipton

Ended up staying here with my kid wanting to go to a friend's graduation in June 2021. The place is not bad. We were from out of town and arrived later than expected. the staff stayed opened longer to make sure we were comfortable And had everything we needed. The rooms were alot bigger than expected with 2 beds separated by the kitchen so we were in the same room but still had our privacy. The reason I marked a stars off was due to the cleaning people. We were staying 2 nights and sign out is noon. We didn't get one of those "do not disturb signs" and the first morning they came barging in without a knock at 730 in the morning. Glad we had the chain lock on. They apologized quickly but then they came barging in AGAIN at 8. Then again at 830. Like really?? No knock. No " cleaning person here". Nothing. Just unlock and tried to walk in. I was rather annoyed And ended up saying something the third time they did it in the same morning. Overall though. Other than that. Everything was good. Booked a stay here on Priceline which only showed a single room with a queen bed but there was 4 of us so we had to get 2 rooms. But when we showed up and saw the two rooms, it had a queen bed in the front room and another in the back. The other room had a queen in the front and twin beds in the back. I went back to the office and they allowed us to use just the one room but wouldn’t refund the Pericline commission which is $22 bucks. So we paid $100 bucks for the room. The bed pillows smelled although seemed clean with clean towels, had mini kitchen too with dishes, microwave, stove, larger than normal fridge and sink; Like a small apartment. But we woke up to several cockroaches in the morning. Parking is not large enough for all units there. Don’t arrive late if your hungry, the town closes down by 9pm. First of all, there are two bedrooms in each rental with a small kitchen and bath connecting them. One bedroom has a full sized bed, the other two twin sized beds.

The Inn is in serious need of upgrades. (See photos.) Beyond appearances, there was no plug for the kitchen sink, no information given as to how to work the tv (it went off the channels for awhile so I played with it to figure it out), no listing of the Wi-Fi password in the room (so don't forget to ask), and no information as to how much water to use in the coffee maker. (I guessed. I was wrong. Had to pour the resulting mud down the drain.). You are on your own. Also, I tried to take a photo of the space between the full sized bed and wall.
