Island Fresh Pizza & Subs — Restaurant in Tisbury

Having been to this establishment in person, I'm sorry to say I don't intend to eat the food due to the filthy nature of the restaurant. There is clear disregard for sanitation. For example, the large pizza mixers for dough sits, disregarded, with littered flour all over the floor on the way to the rest rooms and the rest rooms are stocked with mops and cleaning equipment together with industrial supplies like pressurized containers and dollies. The staff were sneezing without washing hands despite patrons who clearly were disturbed by the behavior. Again, I can't comment on the food quality but if the poor quality of the restaurant is any reflection, I suggest not ordering from here until the owners and/or management show some basic respect for public health and sanitation. When I see a 4.5 review for pizza, I have to see why.

When I see pizza on a turning rack, the first thought for me is 7 11 or quick check.

I asked for a plain slice. The only thing on the spinning pizza rack was a pepperoni slice. I guess they dont make fresh pizza for customers, you take what's there. I wasn't offered anything else. Kinda strange for a pizza place at 1:30 in the afternoon.

About the pizza. One bite, everybody knows Dave's rules. 5.4 out of 10. Also, $4.00 was a bit steep for the size of this small slice.

I am giving three stars as an average of my collective experiences at Island Fresh. I've had amazing Pizza here, I prefer their small pizzas over the large. One small cheese pizza with extra cheese and I'm in heaven - on their good days, I'd give them five stars. Unfortunately, consistency doesn't seem to be Island Fresh's thing....the last 4 times I've been there, it was so bad, giving them one star seemed like it was too much. Burnt pizza, oily pizza, cold pizza, incompetent staff, rude staff, no napkins, no plates, I'll stop there, i think i made my point. I hope they go back to being fabulous, I miss those 5 star...
