The Maker MV is Martha's Vineyard's newest GEM and it's SO worth stopping in. I may have, no I DID, have the best meal I've had in years on the Island at the Maker MV and we couldn't have been treated better. I have a garlic allergy and not only was the restaurant responsive to my questions ahead of time (as the smell is a factor too), when I arrived they shared a list of dishes I COULD enjoy with my family - and some, where I'd have to ask for a substitution on an ingredient. Talk about 10/10 service! We had a freshly made starter - a ficaccia bread 'starter" with olive oil - while it looked amazing, they did forewarn me that it had garlic so I had to pass. My family loved it. For dinner, I ordered the Lumache and was in lemon heaven. This freshly made pasta dish did not disappoint. The sauce was a perfect balance, not overwelming or overly sauced, and I loved the nutty chunch of the toasted pangrattato. My family ordered the new to the menu that night, Halibut, and a menu staple, Bucatiti. All were perfection and not a scrap left on the dish as you can see. I'm still dreaming about the Lumache! For dessert I finally got the GBB show dessert of my dreams a Strawberry Pavlova - I swear there was a hint of coconut and maybe mango? It was a sweet crunchy blissful ending to a perfect night. Note they don't yet have their liquor license so there was BYOB but we didn't miss a thing with soda, water and other beverages. They even have my favorite soda Something & Nothing's Rose & Hibiscus. Truly Sheenagh and Chef Carlos have nailed it and this is a spot YOU MUST STOP IN this summer - or fall or winter. I hear the plan is to stay open all-year long too! I can't wait to go back. Just remember to call ahead for reservations! They do sell out. THANK YOU for taking such good care of me and advising what I could order - no other resturant has done that so well. Kudos!

My husband and I were blown away by how delicious our meal was at the Maker, which opened last month in the Little House space. My husband, who adores bolognese, said the Maker’s was best he’d had (tip - they sell it by the quart along with handmade pasta in a cooler in the cute “shop” section of the restaurant). We split an excellent Caesar (house made croutons) and 3 half portions: Lumache, Mezzaluna, and the Bucatini with bolognese. (All so good I would’ve licked the plates if there hadn’t been other customers around.) Best pasta on the Island - you can tell the chef uses fresh, high quality ingredients. Can’t wait to get back and try the other menu items! Note: they are working on their liquor license - it’s in process now. Friendly service, cute interior with pasta-themed art, and there is parking in front and back of the restaurant.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at The Maker Restaurant. We arrived 15 minutes after they opened at 5pm. We brought a bottle of wine with us. The staff quickly brought us glasses and offered us a chiller. We started with the brussels sprouts as an appetizer, which were perfectly crisp and full of flavor. For the main course, we both had the tagliolini, and it was excellent fresh, pasta with a rich, well-balanced sauce. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was just right. We were dining outside on the picnic tables since we had our dog with us. Didn't dine inside, but it looked quant and cozy. We'll definitely be back!

So excited that The Maker has officially opened in Vineyard Haven and wow, it absolutely delivers. I went with a group of girlfriends for dinner, and from the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, elegant, and welcoming.

We started with the burrata salad, which was fresh, creamy, and beautifully plated with a flavorful dressing. The eggplant mezzaluna was a standout, fine dining flavor made totally approachable and comforting. The lumache pasta was hands-down my favorite: rich, savory, and perfectly cooked - creamy and OMG I am already wanting to go back for more. We also shared the chicken dish and meatballs, and every single bite was memorable. You can tell the team behind this spot cares deeply about food and hospitality.

If you're looking for a new go-to on the island that blends creativity, quality, and charm, The Maker is it. Make a reservation, go with friends, and prepare to rave. Vineyard Haven just got...

As a woman-owned marketing company deeply rooted in the local community, we’re always thrilled to support standout businesses, and The Maker in Vineyard Haven is exactly that.

From the moment we walked in, the space felt intentional and inviting. Every detail, from the lighting to the layout, was designed with care, creating an atmosphere that feels both elevated and comfortable. The service was polished yet warm, striking that perfect balance of professionalism and genuine hospitality.

And the food? Absolutely delicious. You can tell there's a passion behind every plate, and knowing Chef Carlos is leading the kitchen makes us even happier. This is the kind of place that elevates the dining scene on Martha’s Vineyard and sets a new standard for what it means to dine out locally.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit and bringing clients and colleagues with us. Bravo to...
