Riverside Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Tittabawassee Township

I oh so wanted to take a pic of my awesome food, phone in car and I wanted to eat! I had the veggie omelet and it was the best I ever had. Really. I was allowed to exchange items that went with my food, which is awesome. The waitresses worked really hard to keep coffee flowing, guests happy and getting the food directly to the table while still hot. We got there at around 1045 am and some tables were open. 1130 people waiting in line from in the restaurant out the door. I believe this is the only restaurant I would ever wait in line for! Food is and has been a "10", service a "10" and the atmosphere was a busy but all guests were content. Did I mention breakfast all day? Everything on the menu looks good but even better right in front of you. If you haven't been there go, go slightly before or after meal times or just go and you'll love this restaurant for comfort food, waitresses as if they were family, prices average, they don't scalp you and you'll be full and happy that you went! Good normal food with clean atmosphere and lovely waitresses who will keep your cup full! Only suggestion is add on to the restaurant and all will come. Thank you Riverside, see you...

Came for breakfast on Saturday around noon. This is a really nice, clean place. The breakfast menu could use some improving as they don’t offer meat with any of their breakfast entrees. Any meat is an add on, I believe it was $3.79 on top of your order. This is not the norm anyplace else we go. The wait for food was quite long, the place was packed and it appeared they couldn’t keep up.

The lumberjack omelette was quite a bit smaller than other places, about half the size of other places we have been. It was also overcooked. The second order we had included eggs, potato and toast and added bacon to my order. My eggs were also overcooked. The rest was good but since both of our egg orders were overcooked this tells me they need to work on this.

We have been waiting for our bill the entire time I have wrote this review (and then some). This place appears popular so I can only think they do better but something...

The food here is great but the amount of flies this restaurant has inside is disturbing. We had 5 flies buzzing around our table the entire time we were there and this is not the first time it has happened either. The waitress we had completely messed up our order and then made it seem like it was our fault she didn't write it down. We got two slices of their famous pie to go because we couldn't stand the flies any longer and when we got home we discovered the waitress put them In the bag upside down. If that wasn't bad enough the tops were not locked so when you picked it up it fell out into the bag an onto the floor.

I loved this place months ago but after this experience I think I will go else where. While I love supporting a small business id rather not share a table with flies. Everything else I can forgive but being chased out by the swarm was just to much for me to handle. With them landing on everything nothing...
