Whenever I’m craving home-made ice cream, or my friends hit me up for an evening-sweets run, this is my go-to.
Its ice cream is A-class stuff, whether you're craving traditional, soft-served flavors (chocolate, vanilla, twist) or unique, award-winning creations, such as Maple Walnut, Raspberry Truffle, and Orange Sherbet. My personal favorite is their Caramel Caribou, which blends sticky, creamy vanilla ice cream with sweet, gooey caramel and mixes in caramel-filled chocolate pieces as a bonus.
It’s to be noted that Space Coast tastes "homemade" and far from the generic ice cream flavor that leaves a bitter sweetness lingering on your tongue afterwards. Their Peanut Butter Fudge flavor, for example, isn’t overly rich, but constitutes a natural nuttiness more reminiscent of actual peanut butter and less reminiscent of artificial preservatives. It’s the kind of ice cream which makes you scrape the paper cup, or lick off any sticky drops from your fingers, in order to ensure you’ve gotten every little bit of goodness from it that you possibly can.
That being said, you’re not left licking up the last drops for lack of wanting. Don’t be fooled by the seemingly small paper cup sample hanging from the window: Space Coast believes in generosity and knows how to stack ice cream. Prepare for generous portions. Don’t drive to Space Coast on a full, afternoon stomach.
I’ve visited Space Coast’s little storefront over half-a-dozen times now and tried at least a quarter of their flavors. While Caramel Caribou remains my favorite, it only just does so. I’ve yet to try a unique flavor at Space Coast that I didn’t like, and I’ve been consistently surprised by my friend’s reactions on trying Space Coast for the first time. One who couldn’t stand peanut butter-flavored ice cream found the Peanut Butter Fudge to be one of their favorites. Another with a repulsion for nuts ended up falling in love with the Maple Walnut flavor. Perhaps this is due to the fact that Space Coast does away with generic, artificial flavors of traditional ice cream chains, replacing it with something much more “churned” and natural.
It’s no stretch of my imagination to call Space Coast Ice Cream the best homemade ice cream in Titusville. There’s literally something for the whole family (from the “double scoop,” to the “kiddie,” to the “doggie”). If you’re looking for ice cream with body and bold flavor that doesn’t taste like every other chain restaurant’s cup or cone, you’ve got to try...
Read moreI came here last night and asked for a cotton candy milkshake with gummy bears, sprinkles, and marshmallow sauce. After I clarified twice I want marshmallow sauce and not actual marshmallows, I received back a near water consistency shake with no whip Creme as advertised even though I confirmed with the young guy taking my order that it came with it on there. We asked him to remake it because I belive that's bare minimum for a $8 shake, and he wasn't very helpful at all. Then once we asked for whip Creme he went silent and put less then a dollop on there. When I started drinking it I relised there where no sprinkles even though I was charged for that topping and I still recieved marshmallows in it, and since it was late and i assume he didnt want to do dishes, he blended the ice cream in the plastic cup which tore through and started leaking so he put another one on top. I'm never one to complain or leave reviews but that was just messy and not near worth the price for the poor service. it's upsetting iv been there so often and I always have issues with service despite being mannerful to the employee, they just seem miserable and never willing to help much. I most likely will not be visiting again due to the blatant disrespect and passive aggressive manurisms. I have never personally seen the owners there but I hope they can see that's not good for...
Read moreTook my parents here after a day at Canaveral National Seashore. Totally cute little ice cream shop of a side street in Titusville.
The parking fits probably 5-7 vehicles, so parking is tight. Everything is brightly painted, cute little ice cream themed trash cans. In one of the parking spots is a hop scotch that's adorable. The double take out window is cute, A frame sign outside plus over head menu has quite a few selections. Price is actually reasonable, about $18 for 3 adults.
We ordered a banana split- HUGE, a junior banana split- still huge, and a large cone that was really huge! All were amazing and delicious.
Little gal behind the counter was so sweet, and we liked that they took a debit card. Service was quick, efficient, and accurate. Serving size were awesome.
On the size of the building were a couple of large picnic tables, with umbrellas. Area is brightly painted and really clean.
This week be a fave we will revisit when we are down in Titusville again. Made for an enjoyable day.
In the area: There's a huge outdoor mall right across the street. Right down the way, we stopped to watch wind 🏄♂️ surfers. It...
