I have tried Venpaca Cafe. I'm so sad. When they first opened I was in love. Their empanadas were delicious, the chicken filling was so flavorful. You could see the seasoning on the chicken. And like any good empanada the dough was fried, crispy with small air bubbles that occur naturally. The potato balls were lightly fried to golden brown, the filling was flavorful and hearty. It was perfection. Unfortunately the last three times i have ordered the same items a week or more apart each time the food has changed. Yes three times, I wanted so badly for the change to be just a fluke. Now the empanada chicken filling is bland you can no longer see any seasoning. It does not taste the same. Now it's not poor quality but the flavor is just gone. The dough is not fried as long as it should be, no more tiny air bubbles and the dough is just chewy. And the potato balls now are fried until they are black. The filling is more mushy and bland than before.
I'm not sure what happened, but I want the original delicious juicy chicken empanada filling back, I want those beautiful golden brown mashed potatoes with savory filling back.
If the owner is seeing this, please, please, please bring back the original recipes. These were so good that I would gladly become obese in an effort to ensure your business...
Read moreI have been to VenPaCa 3 times since opening and all 3 times they were a 5 star. Friendly service, great atmosphere and delicious food. I started going to them when they were a food truck. As a Hispanic born and raised in Miami and it’s difficult to find good Hispanic food in this area. Thank you guys for opening a cafe in the area!!
If you order from the hot bar, they serve you and you are good to go. If you order sandwiches or any other item from the menu, it is made to order so there is a little bit of a wait time, find yourself a table and they will bring the food out to you.
Sandwiches don’t come with sides (which I do not mind as I get full off the sandwich alone). I have tried their steak sandwich and Cuban sandwich which both were delicious! My go-to is a steak sandwich.
My boyfriend goes for the hot bar he’s had the garlic chicken and the pork. I do love me some pork but that garlic chicken is on point!!
Other items that we have tried that are not pictured are the potato balls (there is ground beef in the middle) and the shrimp empanada!! Every-time we go, those are must haves we bring home.
I do miss the yuca bites they had on the food truck. If they bring it to the cafe I may just clear their stock 😂
You won’t be disappointed! They are also now available...
Read moreI've been to VenPaCa 4 times since they open in Titusville the first time I got empanadas and alcapurrias for me and my wife the taste is awful not Puertorican we didn't like them at all. we waited a couple to months went back and order a mofongo and alcapurrias again not good. the mofongo was so salty we couldn't eat it, we put it in the trash, the alcapurria was so hard it felt like we were biting rubber, we order flan and it was awful not puertorican, the third time we give them another try since they remodeled and made some changes, the restaurant made improvements but not the food, The food needs to taste puertorican they need more sofrito and adobo and maybe fresh condiments because the food is ok but I I hate to say is Puertorican food. we need a good Puertorican restaurant here in Titusville. I'm sorry for the review but I'm honestly saying if the food is not Puertorican take the Puertorican flag out of the restaurant and just call it hispanic food or start making puertorican food that taste like Puertorican food. Change...
