So….. I should first start with this was a place I supported why? Family owned and small business as I always support. My reason for 1 star? Sent my children to get ice cream Saturday night 6/1/24 by the time they arrive home they realize the brownie was not in the sundae and the pound cake was not in the strawberry cheesecake or whatever they call it. The place was closed by the time they got home, as they close at 9pm. So no biggie I had them put the ice cream in the freezer. I called Sunday 6/2 to advise the owner (male) about it he was fine with it no issues he just said whenever you can just stop by. So as a first responder (nurse) I worked Sunday and Monday and Tuesday 6/4 I stopped by with both the ice creams when I tell you ignorant, degrading, unprofessional, insulting was at a all time high!!!!! But I remained calm why because there’s no need to be ignorant or have another person control my energy! He said oh a week later ice cream ???? Really??? As I explained to the young lady at the register what happen here he comes saying half eaten ice cream and a week later give her what she wants as if I was hungry or begging you had to be there to understand and see how he said it body language and all!!! Disgusting!! The young lady apologized he then said to her did you do something wrong don’t apologize give her what she wants because we don’t serve ice cream like that! Mind you the ice cream melted and no brownie was in it so of course it went flat because it went back in the freezer from melting unlike when you first get it…. Then I asked for a refund the son asked for me to move down to the next window he was nice asking when did I purchase here comes the father yet again I’m 52 years old I been around the block !! What’s that suppose to mean?? Really? He tells his son she’s not getting a refund give her whatever she wants again it’s the way he said like I need it and can’t afford it or something. Then he tells two customer this is what’s on the menu tonight half eaten ice cream really!!! I said keep the ice cream and the money as a Nurse thank god I’ll make that the moment I clock in tomorrow but I’ll never return!! I promise you as a business owner myself for over 17 years in the transportation business and also a Nurse I would never degrade insult someone like that. I’ve interacted with the wife and the wife’s sister wonderful ladies but I wish...
Read moreWent on family vacation in the Pocono's and visited Tutrone Ice Cream parlor because of close distance to Kalahari Resort and Google reviews. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. No thrills at all. We ordered hard serve on all 4 items and from cone to cup it was melting from the time we received it. The taste wasn't spectacular, sundae order was mixed up and took a while to receive Sundae's with no banana although the pic showed a banana. Several patrons came after and received their orders before the Sundae's were ready. The containers is also unusual for a Sundae. It look like a large ice cream cup rather than an oval shape. Pretty hard for 3 ice cream scoops, banana with toppings to look pretty in that container. Of course we had no banana as mentioned before. The price was okay. Advice: Save yourself the travel and spend less money. Go to market and get...
Read moreAmazing ice cream and Excellent selection.
My friends and I came here and went crazy. We stopped by after dinner and I’m so glad we did. They have so many awesome flavors, everyone of which were absolutely delish. The ice cream is made with fresh milk from Mannings farm if I’m not mistaken. Very creamy and definitely tastes fresh. Everything we ordered was good. So much that when we left, right before exiting the parking lot one of us jumped out a moving car (jk) to grab 2 pints to take home. Staff were very friendly and efficient. My banana split was made w love. Compared to NY these prices were fantastic, super worth for what you get and the portions are very generous. Scoops are hefty! An absolute must try, if you’re nearby stop by,...
