Mayberry Diner — Restaurant in Toledo

My family and I are actually long-time Mayberry Diner regulars. We are such frequent customers that a few of the waitresses bring us our preferred drinks when we arrive without us having to order. That being said, we will not be returning. The dining experience has become miserable for weekend breakfasts. Waiting customers congregate at the doorway, sometimes numbering around 15 people, as they hope to get a table. That wouldn't be a problem except the staff does nothing to try to organize the mob. Ultimately, that leaves seated customers eating with anxious strangers standing inches from you. This morning my husband and I tried to eat while a party of 7 stood less than a foot from our table. One woman literally had her hand resting on a chair at our table. It is definitely NOT the fun family diner it once was. It now reminds me of a zoo where spectators stand staring at the exhibits as the animals try to ignore them and eat. This, or a similar experience, has happened repeatedly over the last year. If you hope to have breakfast on the weekend, be prepared for several anxious, hungry strangers to join your party...whether you want...

I came here in hopes to find lemon ricotta pancakes. Because online gave me the impression I could find them here. But unfortunately they were just a special that someone had experience and wrote about online. So I try the pumpkin pancakes which were tasty. But when your heart is set on something everything else taste subpar. if I was in the mood for pumpkin pancakes these would be a good choice. They are a bit thick for my taste. Maybe a sweet glaze syrup of some sort to moisturize the pancakes beyond juice syrup would do it justice. But it’s a small town diner. So overall with the pleasant staff. It’s not a bad place to try. By the look of the crowd everyone seem to be regulars. The place was packed but no problem getting set immediately and food came out quickly. I would recommend this place. I’m just mad they didn’t have my lemon ricotta...

Came here because its a hole in the wall which i was told is very good and service was good. The food was good however apparently they had a VIP or some person well acquainted with the place sitting beside us, this person demanded the attention and food to be perfect and threatened to bring in someone who apparently the staff didn't want getting brought it. My waitress walked by about 15 times before i could get a refill on my drink. And when i was ready for my check after she took my plate and was supposed to come back with it, yet again the lady beside me had the staff all in a fuss with her demands and threats. I sat there 15 minutes waiting to cash out....
