Si's Spot — Restaurant in Toledo

The place is no longer open. I went there to look into using the space to open my own restaurant. The place is in really bad shape, (& that's putting it lightly) it wasn't properly cleaned before being shut down. Complete mess. Holes in the drywall, broken liquor bottles in the parking lot, bathrooms gross, food still left in the place. I was told Si's was closed 6 months ago by the owner of the property. They were told to shut down by the city from the paperwork I saw. For the price the owners were asking just to secure the property & then all the money & time you would have to put into the space, repair or upgrade equipment before it is even operational; you would be close to 10k invested before you even opened. Response: Actually it does reflect on your business; in the way you left the place after being told to shut down (saw the letter on the bar from the city) & how you don't see the accountability you need to take with how you just left the space the way you did. If you were opening up a new space then why was food still left behind. As a business owner myself, I wouldn't have left the building in the state you did as it not only harms your name but also just puts more on the NXT business that wants to try & use the space. You leave the space the same way you got it in. That's why the owners of places around here raise rent or ask for so much more upfront just to get into the space. This is literally a direct result of the actions. I would suggest if you don't want to be referenced to the location then get the name taken off Google maps/ restaurant list. Or put no longer at location. What you did was make it to where the NXT business to go in the space has to take time & $ to get it in operational order bc professionalism wasn't considered. There are options you can take to save face. Now I will also add that the owners of the property didn't seem like the best to be renting from. The "owner" I was speaking with about the space didn't show up, had his wife who didn't know much about the place show me around, double booked showing the property. The other interested party that showed up thought I was the owner & started asking me questions about the property. The fact that the owner just shut the place up, locked the doors & left the property the way it was left by the previous renter (Si's) without so much as picking up the trash left behind in the place goes to show a...
