Reasonable prices but service barely ok. Stopped by while driving through Wisconsin. It was just before Packers game was about to start and as the server commented to another customer, they are always slow when there is an early game. My omelette was good, but wrong. I ordered a ham and swiss. After a long wait (given that only 3 tables were occupied and one was already eating) I was served a ham and sausage with American cheese omlette that had 2 small cups of ranch dressing on the side. Server didn't notice the omlette was wrong even though we were the only order she had taken while we were there. Given the wait to get it, I ate it. She spent a lot of time chatting with the owner and a friend at another table with the coffee pot in her hand, but didn't come by to give my friend a refill until we were finished. She did fill the to go cup when he asked.

Time moves a little slower in tomah, as soon as you walk through the door your ushered in with warm welcomes and friendly faces. Dixie our waitress was absolutely fantastic, providing a truly 5 star experience with a motherly touch. Our chili was delicious and full of bold flavor, a very hearty start to our meal. Before we could even blink our meals were in-front of us, Dixie made sure our every need from hot sauce to salt and pepper were taken care of. Portions were very large and prices were great, the best part however? The food! One of the best omelettes I’ve had to date and the toast was thick and fluffy. The hash browns hit the spots in al the right ways. If your ever in tomah it serve you right to take a stop by the Greenwood cafe and let life move a little slower.

If you were walking around looking for somewhere to eat, you definitely wouldn’t pick this place. The exterior belies the inside. The service was prompt, the drinks delivered quickly but the food seemed to take forever and it was only reasonably busy. Once delivered it definitely was classic American diner fare. In

WARNING, DO NOT GO if I could give it less than a star, I would...a little awkward walking in, decor seemed to be 1960s striped wallpaper, with tons of taxidermy everywhere that seemed it hasn't been touched, also in the 60s. Waitress was horribly inattentive, never kept coffee full, never asked if we wanted more, had to ask multiple times and wait 5-10 min to get our fill up. Before y'all get uppity, she was waiting on us and one other table...everytime we asked her a question she would turn around and walk away, acting like she didn't hear a word. And we continued to be polite with her. Ordered a Danish, which she microwaved literally 3 feet from us, took her a good 10 min to accomplish this feat. 15 min after we ordered, she then decides to tell us she is out of steak...but have country fried steak. Food took over 40 minutes...for breakfast food. place wasn't even busy. when the food did come it wasn't too bad, basic breakfast cafe food. Asked for the toast that came with my food stated that because I paid extra for a pancake, I lose my toast. asked for a side of toast and menu said it would be an extra $4...for store bought white bread. Our check came, never asked for a split or anything. its 3 military guys.over $50 for 3 guys to have a sub par breakfast from a sub par waitress and wait for almost an hour. Was planning on tipping her still, until I go to cash out and she asks, how much of a tip shall I put on your card? um, I do that on my card...not you. hand me the slip because I can do my own math. Overall, I'd rather go to the ground round(got sick off their food) down the road than come back...
