I'm so excited to finally have another legit bagel place in the Cypress area! These bagels were fantastic! They had the perfect light interior with an exterior chew that you would expect from a bagel that has been boiled before baked, and is honestly the closest thing to bagels I've had in the Northeast. After trying, plain, garlic, onion, and everything - I haven't had a bad one yet, and the cream cheese was phenomenal!!! Not hard, but not whipped - it was the perfect compliment. Plus, with all of the flavored cream cheeses, you had the onion chive to satisfy my needs while the sweet cream paired perfectly on the plain for my wife. I haven't tried the sandwiches yet, but they also look fantastic. Even though it's a relatively new place, it was packed, and I arrived right when it opened. The three people running it were busted their butts to make sure everybody got helped and did so with smiles. I absolutely love Jersey Bagels on Huffmeister, so I dont say this lightly when I say they finally have real competition in the Cypress area. My advice is to skip the trash at panera, support your local business and eat an authentic east coast style bagel here at Harper's. Unfortunately for my waistline, I'm sure I'll be back many many times!!!

I grew up with NJ/NYC/Long Island bagels. Until I moved to Houston, I didn’t realize how endemic those were. I was spoiled with the best bagels known to man. Since I’ve moved here, me and all my Yankee friends have been hunting to try to find something close. We’ve tried every bagel place in the greater Houston area claiming to have “real NY style bagels” (they did not). Then my coworker brought in a single plain bagel from a friend’s business for me to try. I was skeptical, since no one here can get bagels right. Visually it looked correct. I pulled a piece off and took a bite. After 5 years of searching, I finally ate something that tasted like home. To say these are the best bagels in Houston is correct but feels like a gross understatement. Texans, imagine it this way. You moved to Connecticut for work. You’ve tried every “real Texas BBQ” place you can find. The brisket is always tough, and overpriced. Then one day someone opens up a place that tastes EXACTLY like what you’d eat at home. Thats my Harpers Bagels. 15/10

I am so excited to have a legit bagel shop close by!! There are lots of places in Houston that claim to have proper New York bagels but rarely deliver!! These bagels are perfect, the price point is fair and my dreams of being able to wake up and gram a lox bagel without going into town have finally come true! My husband was SO excited about the giant Italian bagel sammy and while I’m not usually big on deli meat it was FANTASTIC!! Also, they’re all super friendly and Harper is adorable! We will be back…frequently!

My husband and I came here this morning to try this place that is very close to our child’s daycare. We tried the everything bagel, the cinnamon bagel, the blueberry bagel, and then a plain bagel with bacon egg and cheese. WE LOVED THEM ALL. Oh my gosh it was soooo good! The bagels are fluffy and so warm with the perfect amount of toastedness and they don’t skimp on the cream cheese one bit. The sandwich had a huge egg with lots of bacon and they had a variety of cheese to pick from. We are slightly embarrassed as we tried the sandwich and blueberry bagel in the parking lot and ended up eating them completely before we realized we should have taken a picture for a review. My husband (he went in by himself - I was in the car) said the guys in there working were so incredibly nice. We are both excited to make this a family breakfast staple on our way to school or a nice breakfast date for my husband and I after we drop off the kiddo. We have been awaiting this shop to open for some time now and are extremely excited the food and service live up to how cute the bakery is! 🥯 🫶🏽 also very shocked at how affordable it is to eat here in this economy and this makes me want to come here daily. 100 percent...
