The BBQ is really good at Rudy's especially when I didn't have to cook my own. 😆 But on this visit, the guy slicing the meat had a bad attitude. He sliced my brisket (to go) removing almost all the bark. I asked to at least throw some burnt ends in my order because that is where the flavor is and we like that part. I didn't mind paying for a little more weight to get what we wanted. He acted like I asked for something unacceptable! It was obvious, as his body language and mannerisms showed it. Listen, if I'm paying for anything you put on the scale to weigh for "by the pound" price? Let the customer have what they want! I didn't want anything free! There is something seriously wrong here. Maybe I'll take my money and patronage elsewhere from now on. Who needs that from anyone at any business! I sure didn't appreciate this. And there were only about a half a dozen people in the whole restaurant! So it wasn't like they were crazy busy. I almost walked out without buying anything. If that were my restaurant? Read moreI ordered using Rudy's website (Tomball TX location). I asked that they deliver the food at 7:45 pm b/c I knew I would not be home until 7:30, which I thought would be adequately early enough to receive the order even if it were delivered earlier than 7:45. Evidently, for small orders, they use Door Dash. Dasher attempted to deliver my food at 7:20, much earlier than my requested time. Then when I called Rudy's, the manager said I would have to contact Door Dash, even though I explained that I had placed the order through their website. Lesson learned, do not order from Rudy's using their online website unless you're already home b/c if you request a future time for delivery, it doesn't mean much. Therefore, I will never use their online website to order food. What a pain in the rear this experience has been, and no effort by management to make amends. Thankfully, Door Dash took care of the issue and is having Rudy's reimburse me for the non delivery of my order. Read moreI was extremely delighted with our visit to Rudy's today. The husband and I picked my parents up and took them for lunch. I really wish I had gotten our cashier's name. He was an older gentleman, (69 yrs old to be exact. He actually mentioned his age) and he was so pleasant and patient while we all placed our orders. I tipped him. He said, "Well, this is unexpected." I explained to him that I appreciated him being personable with us and not just asking us what we wanted and taking our money. He made jokes and laughed at our jokes. It was the best visit I've ever had at any Rudy's location to date. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their choices and ate every bite. It was my first time trying the baby back ribs. They were delicious. Also, they had a new Jalapeno Cheddar sausage which I also thoroughly enjoyed! The atmosphere was consistent with a normal Rudy's atmosphere, but it was clean and they had UFC and the Astros on the TV's which are 2 of our favorite things to watch, so it was an all around delightful...
