Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Toms River

TLDR; Phenomenal staff and attentive to food allergies! 7-20-24: I just had, hands down, the best experience at any food establishment I've been to in my adult years. I was helped by a young gentleman named Andrew. I wanted a mint chocolate chip & vanilla custard misto (now called something else that I cannot recall the name of), alerted him of my deadly nut allergy, and asked if they used the same blenders for all of their mixed treats. He said they did, and without hesitation, said he would clean the machinery before making my order. I was so grateful! I could even see him cleaning everything in the sink right through the window, and thoroughly washing his hands, as well. After he made and brought my order to the window, he alerted me that he had cleaned everything and washed his hands well. This almost never happens to me, some places either do not take allergies seriously, or they are simply unable to make the proper accommodations. He could have easily said, "Yes, we use the same machine for everything that gets blended, so I cannot guarantee there isn't a risk," and left it at that. He went the extra mile to ensure I could order what I wanted without the risk of going into anaphylaxis. Overall, wonderful employees, and a fantastic experience! Try the "Wild Cherry Ice" it's amazing. Has real pieces of cherries in it. They have other delicious flavors too like passion fruit, mango, blood orange and chocolate, coconut. And many more, they also have custard flavors too that you can include candy add on's. Had very nice customer service here. This is the best Rita’s I’ve ever been to. My usual location is Manahawkin, but was in the area and stopped. They had so many more flavors than my store does. The worker was beyond sweet, let me try 2 different flavors and was just overall so friendly, upbeat and accommodating. From the other reviews it looks like other people agree with my sentiment.
