Glazed Goose — Restaurant in Topeka

Nice ambience, not to loud or wild. Full bar, typical bar menu. Servers and bartenders are attentive and always great. A few times I ordered food 30 or so minutes before then kitchen closed, and they we conveniently “out of stock” and couldn’t cook anything. More likely the cook just wanted to close the kitchen down (I was a cook for many years, I completely understand). Totally acceptable the first time, but after the third time—slightly annoying. Overall, a solid choice for people looking for a more classy, chill sports bar...

We did not go for the drinks, we went for lunch and were somewhat disappointed. They were out of fries (which happens), so we needed to change our order, and the chicken sandwich looked like it had the breast of a Cornish game hen - maybe 3 ounces, that did not even fill the bun.

The atmosphere seemed fun, but there were only two occupied tables while we were there, so it is hard to say.

It was clean and the staff were friendly...

Nice neighborhood bar and grill. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. They offered a few local beers and we chose two different IPAs that each had its own high points. Then we ordered the Friday fish special. Tasty catfish with hand-cut fries and slaw. It was all good except I’m not a fan of their vinegar-forward slaw. My wife likes it though. For sitting outside, we had very good service. We’ll go back for a drink...
