Can't believe I haven't been here until now. I pass by a lot, but just thought it was another chain. Today, my 5-year old wanted to try it. What a pleasant surprise! Tilapia sandwich with truffle fries, and a grasshopper concrete to finish.

The tilapia was a very generous portion of fish, battered crispy and fried hot, juicy, and with a flaky delicious texture. It's topped with a homemade slaw and sandwiches between toasted buttery buns. This isn't your normal fast food fish sandwich. The owner was very proud of this sandwich, as she should be.

The truffle fries were good, but weren't the best I've had. They are a nice change in pace from regular fries, for sure. Truffle flavor is subtle, but there. They're lightly seasoned, and I think most people will enjoy them. I personally prefer more salt, but my tastes are saltier than most. So take my opinion... With a grain of salt. The Burger Stand in Lawrence is where I've enjoyed truffle fries the most. We have one in Topeka, which comes pretty close.

The grasshopper concrete was so good! The ice cream was the perfect temperature for enjoying right away. There's the right amount of mint flavor, the crisp Oreo cookies, and bits of chocolate that makes this an easy dessert to enjoy.

We were very impressed at this place. The owner and staff were very polite and attentive. We are very glad to have stopped in and will be back to try their other offerings!

Update: Came again on a Saturday and Sunday, a month later. We had the steak burger with truffle fries. I think a tall young made our food, and I must say, the truffle fries that day were well seasoned (to my liking) and the truffle flavor was much bolder! Every single fry was blissful. My son said that they "were soo good"! The steak burger had the most "steak" taste I've ever had in a burger. We were very fond of the pretzel caramel concrete.

The following day, we had the chicken sandwich with truffle fries. The generous piece of white meat chicken was unbelievable juicy. My son really enjoyed this one. The truffle fries on this day was a larger portion, but lacking. There was tons of parsley flakes on it, which made it look very appetizing. However, they went light on both the salt and the truffle oil. Some fries had the flavor (although very subtle), and some had none. I wonder if it was drizzled on instead of tossed in the truffle oil. Still not bad, but just wasn't great. Might be a hit/miss kind of situation on the truffle fries. But everything else foodwise was spot on! For dessert, he wasn't a fan of this time (Brett's butter...

I came in there today on a Sunday afternoon they do not wear name tags so you don’t know who is who but the young boy that was at the drive-through window. I ordered a Wedding concrete and he put his hands on my cake. He was not wearing gloves and he pushed it down. Then I’ll explain to him that I did not want it because he touched it and I seen him touched it, so they do it in the trash and it made me another one. In the meantime, I asked for his name, and the young boy that was at the window with me Said he’s not allowed to give the name out he’s not allowed to give No name so guess who walked in the door The OWNER I recognize her but she didn’t recognize me for maybe 10-15 years ago she didn’t now she’s getting older I recognize that but I didn’t recognize their inconsiderate and the and the lies they didn’t have to lie, but not allowed to give their names and I told him they were liars. Not to mention he tried to be nice after the owner came.

She didn’t realize that she was taking up for him when she says no they don’t know where name tags, so how much money does it take to go to whole hobby lobby and pick up a monogram so they can make tags name tags I don’t know, but they they probably changed owners since then, but I’m not a resident of Topeka I’m in Kansas City near Saint Joseph so it’s a big difference in coming and getting ice cream at your favorite place to find out that they have a bunch a Disrespectful young kids who don’t know what they’re doing. Have no customer service. They also had one girl there who had on a long shirt over her She looked really Runji

Not like the same people that used to be there the bee they’re not sure if they’re there anymore now I know good help is...

Love the custard and never had an issue with the service...until tonight. Service was so bad, this one negative experience with the girl at the drive thru negates the other countless times I've been and had no issues. The only reason 2 stars instead of 1 is because the concretes are THAT good. Fortunately for me this girls piss-poor customer service will save me about 10 lbs of custard weight this year, unfortunately for them they've lost a sometimes twice a week customer. If you chose the customer service industry, learn to suck it up when you're obviously having a bad day and not take it out on unsuspecting, innocent customers. We did nothing to deserve the attitude we were given. Here's a tip for the disgruntled employee: when a customer politely says "thank you," even after being treated like poop thru the speaker, you shouldn't say, "yup," and slam the dive thru window closed. It did look kind of busy, but your bad day was not a result of anything I did, yet I got the brunt of your frustrations. You need to find a...

We tried Sheridan’s Frozen Custard for the first time, and it was just as good as G’s—maybe even better in some ways! They had a fun quote posted encouraging customers to ask if they don’t see a flavor, and we did just that. To our delight, they had coconut shavings in the concrete, which added a lovely texture and flavor. The custard itself tasted great, though it was a bit soupy—possibly due to the high temperature. It wasn’t as solid as we expected, but the flavor still shone through. Despite that, it was an amazing treat and definitely worth a visit. Freshly made, flavorful, and full of character—Sheridan’s is a solid pick for anyone craving a cool dessert in late evening. This would be my last dessert before leaving Topeka. I will be back!

Sooo many custard options!! My Veteran Dad wanted custard and told me to try this place. It took me awhile to read the menu 😋 many delicious options. Custard shakes, Sundays, cones, and malts. They do have food such as hot dogs, hamburgers and such. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the small vanilla shake with peanut butter. Delicious would recommend for people wanting their peanut butter fix. My Dad ordered a small strawberry chocolate shake. He finished his in less then 10 minutes. One happy customer. 😆 Over all I enjoyed my custard and will be happy to go back for more! Family friendly ❤ Staff friendly and great food. ~Cecilia
