Sam's Italian Foods — Restaurant in Topsham

I went in & got a large ham italian with no tomatoes, with regular amounts of oil, salt & pepper. I saw a short, slim female washing lettuce with no gloves on & I made a comment about it being very unsanitary, shs was washing the lettuce, went to the walk in freezer, came back & answered the phone, then went back to the lettuce & never washed her hands or put gloves on. The lady at the register heard me & was wearing a shift leader name tag & shirt. The shift leader never said anything to the girl doing food prep with no gloves on. The shift leader made my sandwich, put very few onions on & loaded it with more oil than you could imagine. There was probably 3-4 tablespoons on just one large italian. She then bagged my sandwich, threw it on the counter, rolled her eyes & said my number as she walked away. She never once said anything along the lines of “Thank you, have a good day.” I will not be going back to...

Worst food I paid for in the State of Maine! Go to McDonalds and have a fish sandwich. Go to subway for a sub. Better yet, hit a mom and pop shop. Quality here for the price is far surpassed elsewhere, actually everywhere else! Think of mall food court food but worse. The haddock sandwich was horrible. The sub my son had looked WEAK. They called me up for my order and they only had half the order ready. The catsup packets were all stuck together Like half the box exploded and they still passed out the rest. There was nothing on the haddock sandwich except for a processed fish patty of unknown origin and species, a tiny bun and a couple slices of lettuce. Small container of tartar sauce served in the side. Bun was tough like it was microwaved. I can’t say enough bad things about this subpar chain restaurant. Tables sticky. ...

Drove an hour to get here because the closer Sam’s to us was closed and the GMaps listing said this one was open until 10. We arrived here at 7:54 and were told they were closing in 5 minutes. When we asked if we could get a pizza to go they refused and we were told “It takes longer than 5 minutes to make a pizza.” Your business hours are supposed to be the hours during which you take business! Let alone that you were closing two hours earlier than advertised, you weren’t even doing business as long as your cardboard sign said you would be! The story ended well for us, though, because we drove back to Brunswick and tried the Antigoni’s Pizza, which we’d never been to before. It was very good and we will be going...
