Wendy's — Restaurant in Topsham

Usually I give the benefit of the doubt to fast food places when it's busy, but not this time. The wait in line was abnormally long, and didn't stop even when we pulled up to the order taker. The car in front of me promptly placed their order and drove ahead, I sat for 6 minutes before anyone spoke a word to me. I really don't mind waiting, but to not say anything letting us know it would be a minute seemed more than crazy to me. We place our order and are told to pull up to the first window. I pull up, make eye contact with the guy, he locks the door and puts up two signs to pull ahead. Again, not a single word. I pull up to the next window and see a guy that has been working there for quite some time, yelling and joking around. He opens the window, gives me my total then slams the window. He opens it to give me change and the drink then once again slams the window. We get our food, I say thank you, again no response or words spoken to me. That should be the end of it right? No, unfortunately not. I was missing some sauces so I decided to try my luck in the lobby. There was a very nice woman running the front counter on her own, while the kid at the drive-through who I just dealt with is goofing off and being nasty to her. Coworker squabbles happen, but they should never happen in front of customers. The female employee was very professional and quickly brushed off the kids remarks, but again that should never happen, especially when the one making the comment is the person dragging their feet. Finally, I think that's the end of it and go to eat my food. I asked for pickles added to my burger and those were missing. Not a big deal but what really put the cherry on top was the cheese fries. It looks like they heaped shredded cheese on it, threw it in the microwave and hoped for the best. I have gotten them before and well, these fries I got today were most definitely not right. Anyway I would avoid this Wendy's if I were you. Bring your business to BK or honestly anywhere other than the...

It's probably best I give you specifics . Maybe I was there at a bad time . 1/31/22. I stop in for a late lunch at 3:37. We had trouble ordering because the order taker asked us to wait, start again, wait, start again. He closed out 1 order, and I had to tell him I WANTED to order my meal also. We're seniors but that was difficult to get (just free water) Before I drove off , My Burbon Burger was missing, so I had to go inside and retreive it . I went to the counter to ask what happened , but I had to ask an employee and his g/f ,who were making out to MOVE ...nobody was at the register

We got the wrong salad dressing , so we had to walk back into the store and get the right one

I usually enjoy Wendy's , but this time I was frustrated. The emplyees were having too much fun, too much talking, instead of focusing on SERVICEING THE CUSTOMER.

I'm giving you the time and date so that you may see if there were TOO MANY PEOPLE working. Maybe training, maybe shift change...this customer doesn't care. I just want what I order and be able to rely that what's in the bag is what I ordered and not have sit in the parking lot to see WHAT WAS MISSED

I usually look forward to going to Wendy's when I'm close to Topsham Fair Mall area. And I'm not saying this one instance will cause me to go elsewhere,

This evening was our second go at giving this Wendy's a chance. We went because we were given coupons for a free combo meal because we were so disappointed with our last meal. I can clearly see that no improvements were made. Our bacon was so burnt that we had to take it off the sandwich...for the second time. My bourbon burger didn't not have sauce on it....for the second time. We decided to go inside this time so we didn't come across any issues redeeming our coupons. I am sorry we did. The inside was a disgrace. The soda fountain was caked with sticky soda all down the front and the floor within a 6 foot radios was filthy with sticky soda. The napkin and condiment station was filthy with trash all over it. The dining room was absolutely disgusting with trash and food all over the floor and tables. This leaves the kitchen for last, another customer pointed out to me the trash and food not only on the floor but on the counters as well. It did not appear that the restaurant just got busy and they feel behind in picking up. It looked like a day or two of not being cleaned up. Whoever owns and/or manages this place clearly is not there enough and the workers obviously have zero pride in their workplace. We have made the decision to not go to this...
