Went to this place for the second time today, and I must admit that the curry is so delicious. However, I give them 1 star for their service. The first time I went, the boss man was very unfriendly but I was like ok we all have bad days let’s try again. Nope, the boss today was also very unfriendly. I walked in and he was laughing with another customer ordering at the time who also happened to be Asian so I said hi to him and he just looked at me and walked away. Then another customer ordered after me who happened to be an Asian man, and we both waited outside for our food at the small tables set up. The boss brought the man his food outside to where we were sitting. Then when my food was ready, I thought ok he will do the same. Again, nope. He called out my number and left it inside on the shelves. As delicious as the curry is, I wouldn’t come back based on their horrible service. I only state the other customers being Asian because I’m not Asian, and I felt very uncomfortable with the things I witnessed as I waited for my food. As someone who has worked in customer service, I would never treat my customers any different based...
Read morethis curry spot was recommended by my sister-in-law whom apparently has great taste. every place i've gone with her has been a winner!
i loved the spice level even at the medium level which allows for some serious spice in the hot . range. the option to mix and match sides as well as protein(s) was a nice option. y husband and i shared a small bowl with pork cutlet/takoyaki add ons. our sides were red pickles, potato salad, and broccoli.
it felt a little pricey at the time because it all came in one bowl ($18.62 including tax). but in retrospect, the pricing is pretty standard as the additional takoyaki ($3) would typically come as a separate appetizer making our cutlet curry bowl only $14.
my husband didn't love the potato salad, and i would have liked the outer shell of my takoyaki to be crisper. but i would still go back the next time i'm in LA.
note to owner: if possible, we would have liked the self-order system to have allowed for multiple orders of the same topping as part of the 3 free. we tried to pick "double" red pickles but couldn't figure out...
Read moreI don't eat here as much as I would like to because this place always seems to run out of a lot of items. The food here is good, but the restaurant lacks inventory and management.
After the first few visits and being told that the white rice is "Out of stock", I would call ahead of time, so that I don't waste time driving over. However, when I call, there's no answer. They tell me because they get "too busy".
I don't know how that works when you don't have a full inventory to last a whole day.
This place is also closed on Sunday's and Monday's. Yet, one following Tuesday, I went because I wanted to buy food from here. They were only open for an hour and a gentleman told me that the white rice was "out of stock" again. This is why I say that they need to work on their inventory and management because it's just a waste of someone's time when there's no answer...
