BRING CASH TO SAVE 4%!! I went here to go get Ramen on a Saturday around 5:30 PM and it was quite empty. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have a bar, but I did not see any bar menu and I did not necessarily ask for one because I’m not a big drinker. The Ramen that I got was pretty good and it was actually very spicy and it actually clean some congestion that I had in my throat that I didn’t even know that I had. I will say that I’m a bit disappointed that it cost one dollar to get the spiciest version of the food and it is on the menu that it cost money to add different levels of spices. The eggs cost $2.30 out as of February 2025 if you want an egg and I will say the meat that I got was not plentiful for a $15 bowl of robin noodles. Overall, the experience with the waitress was fabulous. She did fill up my cup without asking her to, and she was quite fast in response to my visual cues when I was ready to order and when I was ready to leave. The chicken that I got was actually quite hot and I thought it wasn’t gonna be as hot because it didn’t seem smoky when it came out to me but when I took a bite, it was quite hot and pretty good. There are definitely better Ramen spots with a better atmosphere for the price of it....
Read moreOur first time coming here, its been on my to do list for a while. We walk in and the decor is so cute inside. They're offering dine in outside and take out. We take a minute to look over the menu. I'm intrigued by the super garlic ramen so I order that. He ordered the spicy ramen. We wanted to try the sliced duck but they didn't have it available so we got the karaage chicken. We ordered at 7:00 pm, got the karaage chicken at 7:04 pm and got our ramen soups by 7:09 pm. The service is swift up in here. They treated us like kings.
So about the food! The chicken was crispy and the flavoring was subtle but delicious. The chicken was fresh and the pieces were decent. My ramen....They weren't kidding about the garlic flavor, it was garlicky. Garlic lovers unite and try this dish. It came with seaweed, radish, Chashu and bamboo shoots. I added an egg, bean sprouts and corn. The Chashu had a good bite to it, a little fatty but that's all good. The EGG was the star of the show. Flavorful and soft yolk.
The spicy ramen had a nice kick to it. I tried some of his broth.
Would love to come try the vegan...
Read morePossibly the best ramen spot in Gardena. I had a hard time choosing between the Tantanmen and the Seafood Tsukemen, but went with the Tantanmen this time. It was rich, flavorful, and well-balanced, with just the right amount of spice and plenty of crunchy bean sprouts. I’ll definitely be coming back for the Tsukemen this summer.
One of my companions ordered the signature Jousui Ramen, and the other had the Shoyu with Garlic Oil Ramen. They usually avoid tonkotsu, but found this version light and easy to enjoy.
We all added combos (+$4.25 for salad and karaage), shared a plate of fried calamari, and ordered two small Sapporo drafts—because ramen just isn’t complete without a cold beer.
Prices: • Jousui Ramen: $12.80 • Shoyu + Garlic Oil: $12.95 • Tantanmen: $15.00 • Combo add-on: $4.25
Total came out to around $80 for three people.
One of my companions, who didn’t even eat ramen when we were in Japan, said we absolutely have to come back. And don’t skip the calamari—it’s crispy, tender, and...
