Gong Cha — Restaurant in Torrance

Gong Cha is an international boba franchise that is abundant in my home country SIngapore, my favorite franchises in Singapore are Play Made (One Zo, super unique bobas!) and Gong Cha, so I’ve been going to multiple locations to have a try in the US! I ordered a Mango Yogurt smoothie and it was extra sweet but also really delicious. The drink also had mango hantian (crystal boba) which was a nice addition, sweet of mango taste with a non sticky, agar agar bite. Maybe it was late but the brown sugar boba was harder than usual (decent taste though). This Gong Cha also had a cute interior, I didn’t take a photo of it, but on the left side facing the entrance of the restaurant there is a huge silver Hello Kitty sticker. This is definitely one of the better Gong Cha locations I’ve been to in the US, unfortunately it was sold out at the time but for the next time I visit I want to try the Thailand Mango Smoothie and Thailand Mango Milk tea. If you’ve ever seen my other reviews you know I like blended ice matcha but I’ve recently been giving a lot of mango drinks a try as well (They are mostly delicious!). This place was atrocious with customer service. I had a BOGO coupon from their reward system and I clearly redeemed it at the store. The employees/manager would not honor it despite all the points being used up on the account. I will say they took some amount off but what is the point of being in Gongcha’s reward program if they’re not gonna honor it at all the stores. I’m just really mad about how the employees handled the entire situation. They basically had the attitude of “we applied a discount so get on your way” rather than overriding what their machine was spitting out. I'd have to say this place is one of the best spots for milk teas and smoothies. They make their own unique blend of many style milk teas and other types of coffees, teas, smoothies, blended drinks, and other fusion style beverages. I get too excited and start drinking right away before even capturing a photo to post of what I drank last. Next visit photos of the drinks purchased here at Gong Cha. Place practices social distancing, clean and organized. They have great customer service and their drinks get served within a short amount of time. May take a bit longer if they are busy.
