Shake Shack Torrance — Restaurant in Torrance

I first visited around grand opening week! Since then, I've dined in multiple times and tried their drive through once. There were a few hiccups the first month, but this is natural as their staff were getting acclimated. I could sense they were genuinely apologetic and wanted to deliver the best service. During one visit, they forgot to add avocados in my burger (it was an avocado burger too!) but they gave me a free shake and fries voucher to make up for that. It was hilarious, but I appreciate the gesture! 4 months later, after finally redeeming both vouchers, the service and consistency of the food has improved a lot.

We went there today ( 9/29 at 11:50 p.m.) for a late-night snack and were welcomed by a very friendly person taking our order. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing to come from it. As we approached the window to pay, a young lady called us the wrong name and proceeded to call one of her coworkers and laugh/mock with him about it. I thought it was very unprofessional. We received our food and realized our fries weren’t inside, so we immediately returned and told them. Apparently, our fries weren’t on our order sheet. We waited 5 minutes and finally received our fries, and the girl worker gave us an attitude about the mishap. Mistakes happen, and there could’ve been miscommunication, so we don’t fault them. I place an order online on the site. They don’t have a way to write no cheese or sauce so I called. I can not have dairy or I become very ill for days - and I called to let them know to not put cheese or sauce… 2 bites in - they put shake sauce all over my burger .. a generous amount. I’m already not feeling well. They also thought I was a delivery driver and treated me very unkind until I made sure they were aware I was not - and a customer! Refund isn’t most important/ principle of allergies when you handle people’s food. The pain I’m gonna feel from not taking your job seriously..
