Sometimes the best discoveries happen when we least expect them. There I was, cruising along an unfamiliar road, and suddenly Batchy Brew appeared before me like a caffeinated oasis. Upon seeing the large truck emblazened with the bold “BATCHY BREW coffee shop”, my initial reaction was of curiosity and intrigue. Either way, I was drawn to explore further, because, as I always say, where there is coffee there is life.

Given that it was still early, I opted for a cappuccino. The aroma was complex yet inviting. The flavor was perfectly balanced, with the bold and rich taste of espresso complemented by the sweetness and creaminess of the milk and silky smooth foam.

A fan favorite that everyone can’t get enough of is this well-known coffee and I can’t disagree! Off a commonly commuted road in Torrington, Batchy Brew mobile trailer has a permanent spot with easy access. There are parking stops to pull into and picnic tables to sit at. They also highlight their order-ahead options, so you don’t have to wait outside! They have a wonderful menu with seasonal options that change each month. This includes lattes, iced coffee and non-coffee drinks. It’s awesome to see Batchy also set up at various community events, fairs, weddings and other corporate events. They brew up Saccuzzo Coffee (CT) and Great Minds Coffee Roasters (CT). Right now for December, try their Sugar Cookie Latte or Eggnog Latte (current top sellers), Frosted Gingerbread Latte, Creme Brûlée Latte, or Pecan Caramel Iced Coffee...

Let me tell you, Batchy Brew is worth the drive! Their social media drew me in and their coffee exceeded my expectations! I love how unique they are with their coffee truck. It was easy to find them at the Taste of Thailand parking lot in Torrington.

They have so many choices on their regular menu and then offer monthly specials, too. That’s what I tried this time – the iced Berry Shortcake latte for the month of May! It’s a secret recipe, which makes it that much cooler. It has 2 shots of espresso, your choice of milk (oat milk for me!) and freeze-dried strawberries! I paired that with a dirt bomb – a cinnamon sugar donut shaped as a muffin!
