Jimmy's Store — Restaurant in Torrington

We’ve had their Shepherds Pie several times and its very good. I’m an excellent cook So I’ve been told for decades so eating out can be disappointing and disgusting BUT NOT @ JIMMIES. Also had their Eggplant Parm several times it too was pretty good. I love their Italian Combo grinders with Roasted Peppers on Milittes Bread ( from my hometown ❤️❤️) the soups were good too . The dessert were also good. Overall I’m very pleased with their food and Its close by too . They made a couple major mistakes on my grinder order couple years ago and the owner himself took care of the situation and corrected it . Impressive to me as I’m a stickler for good business practices I grew up in family business environment with old school Italian dad ( customers ALWAYS RIGHT). Jimmy's store is the best. The staff is some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Always friendly and courteous. Every visit im greeted with smile and a Good Morning or Good afternoon. They make the best home cooked meals around. Prices are fair for the home cooked meal you get. I recommend everyone to go here. Easy to find almost always busy. I Am always satisfied with whatever food purchase i make. Grinders, pasta, chicken or even stuffed peppers, mac n cheese. They add a little variances to some of there food, but always worth it... My daughter & I recently visited Jimmy’s & had a fantastic experience. Robbie & his staff were incredibly kind & courteous, making my daughter & I feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The store has a great selection of Italian products, deli meats, salads, grinders, & a whole hot food section. We both ordered grinders, & they were absolutely delicious!
