Giuseppe's Cafe — Restaurant in Totowa

I really wanted to try something new and support a local spot, but my experience here was enough to make sure I won’t be back. I walked in and politely asked if there was a menu I could look at since I didn’t have my glasses. Instead of helping, the man behind the counter responded with a condescending tone, saying, “We have coffee and pastries — and we close at 2.” (It was only 12.)

Still trying to be friendly, I asked if I could show him what I usually get at Starbucks to see if he could make something similar. He immediately cut me off and said, “This is not Starbucks,” in a tone that made it very clear I wasn’t welcome. I tried to explain that I was just hoping for something with a similar flavor, but he shut me down again, saying he wouldn’t even try to make it.

“I’m not trying to be rude” — but the tone he used, the attitude, and the complete LACK of customer service really took me by surprise. If I wanted Starbucks, I would’ve gone there. Excellent Italian cafe with great food ! Family cafe with Lots of Imported Italian products. they had products that I never seen before in Italy . The owner and the lady Rosanna were very friendly welcoming and helpful. I had a cappuccino with a bomboloni with cream which was scrumptious! I decided to eat Lunch I picked out chicken Cutlet with a Cutlet cucumber tomato String bean and red onion salad. Everything was delicious. The chicken was humongous. I couldn’t be happier for my friend who’s taken over this café. He’s one of the kindest, most positive people you’ll ever meet, greeting everyone with a smile. His passion really shines through in every cup of coffee. Especially two of my favorites which are his cappuccinos and iced coffees which are next-level delicious! You can truly taste his passion. The whole place feels brighter and warmer because of his energy. So proud of him and so happy to have such a great place so close to my home. Since he has taken over this is by far the best cafe...
