SO GOOD!

We had appetizers(shumai, miso soup, chicken skewers) sushi, korean short ribs, and mochi dessert. The sushi was beyond fresh and made perfectly. All the food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. It’s the best asian fusion style restaurant in Lansdale.

Every dish had all fresh ingredients, and each dish was elevated. The miso soup had a smooth, but still more complex flavor than normal watered down miso. The skewers came with a sesame dipping sauce, and the chicken was soft with a little grill char on the outside that complemented the whole dish.

All the fish in our sushi was high quality. The sashimi was tender and beautifully sliced, while the sushi was tightly packed with just the right ratio of rice/veggies/fish.

Our dessert we ordered vanilla and green tea mochi, expecting only a plate of a few pieces of mochi on it. Instead we were given gorgeous plates paired with extremely soft green tea icecream topped with honey surrounded by farmer’s market quality fruit. This was hands down one of the best asian dessert I’ve had.

We also appreciated the owner’s going out of their way to stop over and talk with us. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Absolutely the Best in the Area! My family and I tried this restaurant for the first time today, and it was such a fantastic experience!

We started with the rolls, which were fresh and delicious. It was such a great start to the meal. My daughter loves udon, and ordered the shrimp tempura udon. She said it’s the best udon she’s ever had and I'm not a fan of udon but I even liked it.

My wife and I shared the salmon teriyaki and hwae dup bap, and oh my goodness... They were so delicious and fresh!!! You can really taste the quality and freshness in every bite, and I even felt a little healthier after eating! Since it wasn’t too busy, one lady from the kitchen came out to chat with us, which made our experience feel so much more personal and welcoming.

Honestly, everything was worth every penny, and we’re already planning our next visit to try more of their menu. Can’t recommend this place enough. Asahi in Lansdale is a hidden gem that...

Sat right at the prep station to get the best view of how staff work. Was super excited to see sea urchin on the menu so I ordered that. Unfortunately for me their shipment does not come until the following day. This was also true for the Otoro (fatty tuna)

I opted for the Rock Shrimp tempura and the Asahi Special Roll 2 instead.

The rock shrimp was good but in my own opinion I feel a bit less sauce on there would have been a bit better. Felt like it smothered the shrimp and batters flavor.

As for the special roll I couldn't find any faults that would detract from it's great taste. Well done chef.
