Lago Ristorante & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Town/Village of Harrison

I have eaten with my family at Lago's many times. We love the food. I have had several family birthday dinners there too. So when my daughter became engaged recently my unquestionable choice was to host the engagement party at Lago. I called on 9/24 and inquired on availability. I was told there was availability for that day.The individual I spoke with took my name, phone number, email and asked for the number of people. I responded between 20-25. He said he would send over the menu options. Upon receiving his email I replied right away and informed I want to reserve the day and asked when can I come in to discuss the menu. I didn't hear back and followed up with the individual 2 days later when he informed me that the day is not available and that it is reserved for a party of 45. I stated to him that I replied to his email and asked him to reserve the day for my event. He stated he did not receive my email or someone "threw it away". What actually happened is I got bumped for a bigger party. VERY POOR AND SHADY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I planned on hosting all my daughter's wedding events at Lago's but now not so much.Very disappointing that my money was not...

My first time coming to Lago Restaurant, I really loved the decor the old rustic look to it. Our waiter was fantastic very knowledgeable on the types of food. We started with amazing appetizers the Fried Calimari was cooked to perfection, then we had the Tuna tartar over mango and topped with avocado, and finally the Cheese wheel. This is a must as it's prepared at your table. The main dishes were Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye steaks that were cooked to perfection the pasta with salmon was terrific. My dish was the veal osso bucco over couscous with a lite tomato sauce this was absolutely the best I ever had. All desserts were fantastic the banana flambay, tartufo, the Italian cheesecake and the Panna cotta which was my first-time ever eating it. Lago is a great Italian Restaurant where you need to have time to enjoy yourself. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. I will definitely come back for more...

Service and food was great. I always wanted to go to lago, but never got to it until last sunday. I had the pasta with the tomato sauce. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious too and had whole cherry tomatoes in it which I really liked. I had the chocolate cake for dessert which reminded me a lot of the cakes that I used to eat as a child in europe. My sister and dad the flambé which was really good too. They started preparing the flambé even though they were technically already closed. They close at 9:00 and we stayed until 9:40, I felt bad about it, but they didn’t mind at all. (We werent the only people who were still there). We got free coffee at the end and the owner? Talked to us for a while. Great overall...
