7/13/2023 We heard a rumor that Campobellos was jnder new management. Would have loved ro have reviewed rhe food but alas... the service is still horrible. We walked in and were seated promptly. We were told someone would be with us shortly. There were 2 other occupied tables. One waiting for left overs and the other waiting for food. Staff walked by 3 or 4 times and never once acknowledged oir presence. After 6 minutes (I know because I received a phone call as we sat down) we chose to go elsewhere where not only did we get greeted, seated and baverages in under 3 minites.
I keep hoping....maybe....and then, wind up disappointed. Management needs to do better. We walked in to a sign on the door stated 'closed today due to catering', yet, there was 1 other visible couple in the dining room. The door was open but staff answering the phone and at the counter couldn't even glance in our direction. Should have been a sign that it wasn'tworththe visit. The front of the restaurant was redone and bright. When the one person addressed us I asked if they were serving in the dining room she looked like we were strange. We told her aboutthe sign and told us that was from yesterday.. She led us to the dining area. There were two other tables. The server was quick to address us and I had a glimmer of hope. Beverages, bread and soup/salad came out in a decent amount of time. My soup was a canned tomato florentine. The house Italian drrssing was bland as ever. At this point we realize that the table we saw walking in was just getting their food. The garlic bread that we ordered didn't make it to the table for about 30 minutes after the first course after requesting it out with the soup/salad. When the waitress brought the bread I asked how much longer for the entre. She politely went to see and came back several minutes later to say a few more minutes. I asked if they were busy with take-out, they were, and I also learned they only had 1 cook. I explained to her that we thought we wanted to go and she was super sweet to check again (if they hadn't started our meal we were going to pay for the soup/salad, drinks and garlic bread even though that was way less than worth it). She came back with our plates. My cheese ravioli with rose' sauce was watery. His spaghetti parm, he said was okay. I don't think that we...
Read moreIf I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. My husband and I walk in, it’s not so busy. We get seated within 5 minutes, we decide we’re going to do the 2 entrees & a bottle of wine for $65 (restaurant week special). We order our appetizers, get our bottle of wine, and order our dinner. Then….. we wait. We watch 2 other tables get seated. One - a table of 4, one - a table of 2. Both tables order & are served bread & salad (had no idea that was even a thing, cuz at this point we’ve had a bottle of wine and NO food within 20 minutes). We haven’t seen our waiter once since she brought us wine and we ordered our food. We continue waiting, and both tables now have their appetizers & shortly after, their entrees. Still NO sign of our waiter, and it’s been 40 minutes at this point. We wait another 10, yet to be seated. Meanwhile the 2 tables we’ve been watching have had seconds of bread, and nearly finished their food. So we got up, walked to the counter and told them we were done. It didn’t matter who said what at this point, we’ve waited an hour and have been served nothing but a bottle of wine. So we ask to pay for the wine and leave. They tell us ALL of our food is ready…….. ALL of our food. Why the heck hasn’t it been served to us?!…. Nope. Still leaving. They tried charging us $37 for our bottle of wine, which is insane, because for another $28, we could have had the wine & our TWO entrees. The manager never came out, just told the hostess to charge us $25 instead. It was absolutely atrocious. I LOVE Italian, and was so excited to try this new place. I wanted their fried lasagne so bad! But nope. Instead, they’ll never get a dime of my money ever again. I hope this review reaches the manager - DO BETTER. This was the WORST dining experience I’ve ever had. To top things off, I’m a mom of 3, and my husband and I barely get out for a nice dinner alone. So this was a...
Read moreWe decided to try this place for my husband's birthday. We were greeted and seated right away. Server came over to take our drink order but we needed a few more minutes. She came back and we gave her our entire order. Our drinks were brought followed by a basket of bread and the appetizers, meatballs (best I've had in any restaurant) and stuffed peppers, which had a nice kick. Next came my husband's minestrone soup and my salad. My husband ordered Veal Marsala and I ordered Pollo Con Pesce. Everything was delicious and very generous portions, including the appetizers. They do not skimp on portions. We needed take home boxes and ordered a piece of Tiramisi to go. Bill was very reasonable. Servers were very pleasant. We played a game of name that singer to the old 50s tunes playing with my Shazam app. Very nice evening....
