Bella Que Dresses — Local services in Town of Amherst

Was nice to see some stuff in person. You would figure with how limited the season is and how rare dresses are shopped, there might be more communication regarding how things work. I'm sure they're tired of explaining it, but if you have to constantly explain it may not make sense. Make sure to sign up for a fitting before you start looking in hopes of having the chance to pick your dresses to try on. Two months out and no new orders are coming in because "the season is over" so I guess Christmas shopping is done at the end of October. I know they don't control suppliers, and maybe that's why we need more locally made products.

So in response to the seller... I am not looking for clarification. Your in store team explained that what is in the store is all you had and according to your suppliers, the season is over, so there won't be any ordering and there won't be any more dresses even though there are about 2 months until prom. How many years are people going to buy prom dresses? So how are they going to know these rules? You work in the business, so you know the rules. Reviews are there to help all the people like me, who don't know that you won't order anything now, because the season is over. Great...the season started in January. Let me hop in my car and go 88 miles an hour to go back in time to January and change things. My comment still stands, the way this store seems to do things means Christmas shopping should be completely done by the end of October. If you are saying that you can special order right now, then please speak with your staff to make sure they know. Unless you are saying that you could have ordered back in January/February, which again but not now. If that is the case please remember I don't have a time machine, my original review and the in store employee was right and your statement is moot. My daughter is getting married- I ordered and paid for 2 dresses online- what a nightmare. Then I arrived at Bella Que, the two young ladies working were very kind, then the owner started helping me and spent over an hour with me trying on dresses. She made a suggestion to add a drop little sleeve on a dress and it completely changed the look and just made the needed touch to the dress for me. Her expertise made my pending nightmare resolve! She even contacted a seamstress to help my situation. Although I put my professionally measured measurements into the online size scale the dress I ordered was HUGE- more than 2 sizes too big. Along with my 3 daughters, the bridesmaids, we all bought 2 dresses online, and still had to have alterations. My daughters and I have all learned a valuable lesson. Dresses online may be a few dollars cheaper, or be photoshopped to perfection…..but when you have an important event, the help from a person of expertise is priceless. I will ever be thankful for the warm welcome I received to try and rectify my subpar online purchase! A lesson to support our local businesses and trades. My daughters and I will always make Bella Que our go to for any formal dress needs.

PS Although i put in my professionally measured measurements— the dress was HUGE on me. The champagne dress arrived peach. The other was sent a black dress in error. Most online dress shops have no refunds, many final sale or size...

Went there today with one of my friends for a prom dress. The owner (who refused to give me her name) was rude as ever. Refused to zip me up, refused to let me look at certain dresses, and gave me and my friend a terrible attitude. When I found out she was the owner I was in complete shock on how an owner of a business could treat customers like garbage. When I asked for who she rented from so I could complain from them she said the name and when I asked her to spell it she responded with " you can figure it out" Another thing it was 81 degrees out today and I was wearing shorts and she commented saying how short they were and how if she were me she wouldn't let me wear those with those with my "physic" ( I'm a size 6-8 which is an average body type) I've never felt so disgusted in my life on how someone treated me ever. Little does she know many of my friends are in high school going to prom this year and I am definitely spreading the word about this woman! A customer is a customer treat them equal and with respect, I've been there many different times and I've gotten great service but she really changed my whole opinion on this store and my friends and I will definitely NOT be...
