I gave my laptop in and they told me it would take around an hour to fix the problem I had and they would give me a call when they were done rebooting my laptop. I waited over an hour for a call but I didn't get one and decided to go in anyway without the call. When I went it, they had my laptop ready and said they fixed the software problem but it needed a battery change and they would have to order a new battery. I asked them what would happen if I didn't get a new battery and the guy told me that they've had some problems with some batteries exploding and such which really scared me and made me think I should get the change. so i asked when the new battery would come in and they said on Monday (I went in on a Friday) but I had work I needed to do for school which I couldn't do without my laptop for the whole weekend but then the guy offered the option for me to take my laptop and that they would contact me when the battery arrived so I said yes. Then he went into the back to speak with another person that was there and he told me that actually my Macbook model wasn't the explosion type and getting a battery change would only effect how long my laptop was charged for. I was relived to hear that even though I found it a bit weird that he told me that in the first place but backtracked on what he said. I then asked the guy why he didn't call me within the hour since they fixed my problem and they told me the were going to. He then went on to tell me that they did and that my voicemail was full. My voicemail was not full and I never got a call in the first place so I told him that and he proceeded to claim that he most definitely called me when I can guarantee he did not. The whole exchange was very weird when I thought about it especially because the man I gave my laptop in to when I first went in the store, immediately went into back when I came in the second time and had some other guy interact with me instead. Also, the one interacting with me kept going back and forth into the back room to talk to the other man and them back to me. The whole interaction felt shady and did not sit right with me. i wouldn't feel comfortable bringing in another product...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs of right now extremely disappointed. Dropped off my MacBook 8/19 because of beeping, wouldn't start up, wouldn't complete a hardware test anything. The "tech" wasn't there so I had to leave my MacBook. Get a call the next day a Saturday and I am told it would take 2-3 business days to replace the display that was definitely what the problem was. I said ok do that. A week later I call to ask what the status of the repair was and am then told we needed your approval to do the repair, I told them on Saturday go ahead and do it, then he looks up and says oh you have a "vintage" MacBook so it would take 2-3 weeks.. Brings me to yesterday I get a call that the MacBook is done. Ok. I go in they turn on the computer it comes on I pay I come home we use the computer for about 15 min. Then this morning go to use it won't turn on. We figure well it hasn't been charged so we will charge it. Tonight go to turn it on, nothing. So I reset my Smc and my pram get it to start up and within 5 minutes it crashes and goes to a pink screen, turn it off try to restart and it beeps leave it for 10 minutes try to restart now it won't do anything. I was ASSURED, that the problem was isolated to the display. The wires were being pinched and that's why it needed to be replaced. Well here I am tonight trying to get work done and once again can not. I will be calling them tomorrow and taking the computer back because obviously they did not fix the actual problem.. So now I am out $424 and still have a computer that doesn't work. So let's see how much the next isolated problem costs..
It would be one thing if I was having a completely different problem now that I have it at home but I'm having the exact same problem now as I was having when I dropped the computer off. When I initially called I was told bring it in and we can diagnose it. That turned into having to leave it, then 2-3 days then 2-3 weeks, AND the same ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently bought a new iPhone 16 from the Verizon store and nothing was able to be transferred from my (very old) iPhone 8. I work down the street from Mac solutions and thought maybe they could figure it out. I dropped both my old and new phone off and it must have been a nightmare to figure out (Verizon wireless gave up). I had the pleasure of working with Cheryl and she knew I worked down the street and would update me every step of the way. Finally she got everything transferred to my new phone and we had to call Verizon to reset the account (family plan) that Iām on. To make things easier she did all the talking and let me call my sister on her own phone because she is the main name on the plan. Cheryl spent most of her day making sure my new phone was a copy of my old one and it actually all worked out. I paid a very small amount of money for something Verizon wireless couldnāt even handle even after I bought a brand new iPhone 16 from them. I cannot say enough about Cheryl and how amazing and helpful she was. That company is lucky to have such a down to earth, patient, diligent and knowledgeable employee. I was in a weird situation with how old my phone was and she figured everything out and even took the time after I paid to make sure all my apps loaded and everything worked right. Highly recommended.. so much so that I figured out my old Gmail information just to write this review. THANK YOU CHERYL and...
