I had a very posituve experience here with a few exceptions. Most of what ordered was good. The service was decent. They atmosphere is simple but I like it.

We ordered the goat and chicken curries with the spice level of hot. They both tasted amazing. The meat was tender and flavorful. The goat curry was not nearly as spicy as the chicken curry despite ordering the same spice level. I wish the portion for rice was a bit bigger. The rice to curry ratio was definitely off balance. I also wish that there was a bit more meat. It is very noticable while you're eating and you're left with all the sauce and vegetables with no meat left. Especially with the goat curry which had alot of big pieces of bone attached to the meat. The mango lassi was tasty. I recommend it to help cool down the spices if you're sensitive. Finally we ordered the ras malai dessert which was a cheesey ball in a milky sauce I believe. The cheese ball was very grainy and doesn't taste very pleasant. I'm not sure what the intend of the dish was but we were not a fan.

The service was fine. Our server was there when we needed her. She didn't seem very happy to be there but it didn't affect our dining experience. The food came very quickly. We were the only ones in the restaurant for most of our time there.

The atmosphere was nice. I prefer more of a low light space than a bright one sometimes. It was pretty quiet being the only table there. The owner did turn on the tv to add some visuals to the room.

Overall, a good experience but their dishes could use some work. Incredible food otherwise. I look forward to how this restaurant...

The food was average relative to many Indian restaurants ive been in. The portion is small relative to the price. This is definitely the most expensive Indian restaurant I've been in. I am a little surprised the current review is at 4.8 out of 5 stars. THE MOST ANNOYING THING WAS EVERYTHING ON THE BILL WAS $1-2 HIGHER THAN WHAT'S PRINTED IN THE MENU. False advertisement is actually illegal!! When i asked for mild, I expected mild. I can handle quite a bit of heat when it comes to spicy, and it was definitely spicy to the point I was sweating, and I eat Sriracha like ketchup My girlfriend can't even finished her meal because it was too hot for her. Definitely not coming back here!! Reprinting the menu is expensive, but get a little sticky and rewrite the price on it cost you $5 at the most. Or you can continue to operate a dishonest business!!!

Funny I am now taking the time to read other reviews. The Goat Curry is still exactly as 1 of the other reviews said in his review. Very little meat. Mostly tendons or some sort of fatty organs in the dish and lots of bones. No changes made by restaurant. A few said food is oily. It still is extremely oily. No changes made by restaurant. Yet restaurant responded to these reviews saying how they will look into it to make...

Had a fantastic experience at Maharaja Indian restaurant! The service was quick, which is always appreciated when you're hungry. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Now let’s get into the highlight - the food. Wow. Every single dish was packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. You could taste the authentic spices and freshness of the ingredients in every bite. Honestly, it's some of the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time.

But what really made the experience unforgettable were the people behind the restaurant. The owners personally came around to greet us, share a few stories, and make sure everything was just right. They had a way of making us feel like we were more than just customers - like we were guests in their home. That kind of hospitality is rare these days and left a lasting impression.

This isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place to feel good, to relax, to enjoy food that’s made with love and served with pride. Whether you're craving comfort food, exploring Indian cuisine for the first time, or just looking for a friendly spot with amazing service - this is the place to go.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine with warm...

In North Buffalo, Williamsville/E.Amhrest there are very limited Indian/Pakistani restaurants and food is not that great. We kept our finger crossed and did not had high expectations. At entrance, staff was very welcoming and allowed us to select the table to get settled and took our order very fast. We ordered Chicken Seekh Kebab, Samosa Chat, Goat Biryani, Gaj-rai-la(Carrot pudding). I must say, we were happy. Food had authentic flavor and was very fresh. Spicy level was as per expectation. We ordered mild. Environment was very lively and they had light music going on. We requested songs of a Punjabi Singer Sidu Moosewala and they played for us. Our experience and food were excellent. Highly recommend to visit. Give a try. You will not be disappointment. Note: We are not related or friends with owner. We just provide an honest review.
