I made a 7:30 reservation to go there to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. We got there 5 minutes late then waited ten minutes before anyone came to the front check-in stand. The restaurant seemed pretty full and when the hostess took us to our seats she brought us to this back room where it was cold, dark and barely decorated. The furniture was un-upholstered. Frankly, I have better furniture in my garage than what was in this back room. When you make a reservation you expect a nice table or booth waiting for you. And being a few minutes late should never be an issue. We waited in this cold dark room for another ten minutes before anyone came by that I could talk to. So I asked the hostess if she could get us a better table and she said it would take a few minutes and we could wait at the bar. So we go to the bar and there is no bar tender there and we wait another 15 minutes before anyone comes over and asks us if we would like a drink while we wait. I then ask young girl to talk to the manager. It turns out that the young girl who sat us was the nights manager. She comes over and heres my complaint and then she has the gaul to tell me that I showed up late for my reservation and that is why we did not get a nice table or booth. In all of my years dining out I have never been treated so poorly for showing up five minutes late for a reservation. And then we wound up waiting another thirty minutes just to have the opportunity to talk to someone. And when we did this manager was rude to us. What was strange was they sat other couples while we waited and one couple had two young kids who were screaming and crying. After talking with this rude manager we wound up walking out and got a terrific sushi dinner at another restaurant located up the street. And the atmosphere there was warm, inviting and the service was impeccable. I do not recommend Fuji Grill to anyone. I can only imagine that if they treat their customers so poorly just think how poorly they handle and...
Read moreWe ordered Habachi takeout via Door Dash. I ordered the steak and shrimp meal and my husband ordered the steak and chicken & some sushi. The food did not meet our expectations at all. When you dine in you get fried rice with your meal it is normally cooked that way. When my husband drove to the restaurant the staff said they didn't have our order. After going back and forth about 15mins later our meals were "found". Not only were the meals cold when he returned, our steaks were way overcooked, mine was supposed to be medium well & his was supposed to be medium. Both steaks were well done, and tough to chew. Both of our meals had plain white rice & broccoli with a few onions. Normally you get an abundance of veggies. We spent about $70 for us not to be able to even enjoy the meals and I complained to Door Dash and they refunded me a measly $10. I always use the Transit Road location and they hardly ever make mistakes and if they do make one they correct it immediately. I will not be returning to this location...
Read moreI didn't even know that Fuji Grill existed, and I've been mourning the lack of sushi in the Buffalo area (I only know of "O" for non-Wegman's sushi, and it can get expensive there.) We went to Fuji for my birthday and it was amazing. The prices are reasonable for it being semi-fancy: rolls go from $4-14 for the daily specials. Entrees were $8-15. My boyfriend ordered chicken teriyaki and instead of the traditional "slab of chicken surrounded by broccoli" that most restaurants do, it was piled in an artistic arrangement with various veggies and crunchies on top. I ordered some very creative dragon and "sunset" rolls and they were so aesthetic we took pictures. They also have udon, more Chinese-style dishes, fried tempura ice cream, and a large selection of sake and liquors. The interior is small, so make reservations! Also, it's in a strip mall, but...
