In early August, my family and some friends met to celebrate my dad. Our friends from Atlanta never really had “Buffalo” food and my brothers only get it when they are in town. Jonny C’s catering was able to accommodate my small group, had reasonable prices and I could order a la carte. I ordered beef on weck, wings and a Greek salad. I was doing the set up my self and I was very well coached on how to set things up. They had the foresight to ask me about access to water for the chafing dishes and provided some water just in case. They also let me borrow a lighter to light the “sternos”. As the host, I was not going to eat until I knew that everyone had a chance for seconds. My Atlanta guests came over to me and told me to eat because they and others were eagerly waiting to have more. The beef was tender, horseradish fresh and the weck awesome. The wings were meaty with a nice crisp and not too saucy with a tasty mild heat. The Greek salad was not pre mixed and that allowed my guests to take the fixings they were interested in. The dressing was also quite good. All of my local guests made a point of saying things like nicely done and where did the food come from. The food and service from Jonny C’s was excellent. I’ll add that while I was picking up my order, I saw a pastrami sandwich go by that looked awesome. I have not seen on like that since I left Long Island. My only oversight was to have more napkins. I also should have had some “moist towelettes” given the journey one needed to take to find the...
Read moreIf i could give more than 5 stars i would. My friend and i stopped in yesterday for my Birthday supper. I had never been here before and just saw it driving by. I am a Reuben sandwich lover and pretty picky about them Well, i can say, this was the absolute best Reuben I have EVER had. it was cooked perfectly and the bread was amazing! My companion had the Pittsburgh and said it was fantastic. Now that i know about this place, i will be back often! Also, in reading one of the other reviews I have to disagree with the reviewer about the young men working there. I found the guys behind the counter as great as the sandwich! They were friendly, helpful and good at what they do. As for those complaining about the prices. You get what you pay for. The sandwich was so big i couldn't finish it and the quality was top notch. Perhaps, Micky D's would be a better...
Read morePleasantly surprised. Got the chicken finger sub my first time there. It ranks among the best I have tried in Buffalo. The chicken and medium sauce were great, the blue cheese was great and I loved the bread (Costanzo's?) I'm looking forward to trying other sandwiches from their very large menu. There are three reasons I gave only four stars... First is that the price is a little on the expensive side. Second, and pop is also expensive and is only in twenty ounce bottles. I would rather have a fountain pop. Lastly, it took about 15 minutes to get my sub when the lunch rush had already passed. While I posted 3 points of constructive feedback, the place was awesome. I will be back and have already recommended to...
