Just Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Amherst

This happened only minutes ago, and I'm still bewildered and furious.

I fellow I know works at the Just Pizza on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst. I went in to buy some pizza one night ago and ran into him. While cashing me out I mentioned that I was looking for someone for a special project of mine and he said, "My girlfriend does that kind of work (illustrating), come back at ten (another day) and you can talk to her." I must have misheard the day, because I went back just now to get some pizza and see if his girlfriend might be interested in my project.

I went in and asked if she was working. The girl behind the counter said, "No, she doesn't work here anymore." I said, "Oh, Charlie told me to meet her here. I thought she would be working." She said, "No, Charlie works Wednesday night, that's what he told you." "Oh...", I said, I guess maybe she would be here to pick him up. I guess that's what he meant and I just came on the wrong day."

That was pretty much the whole exchange, near verbatim.

JUST as the words, "Well, since I'm here, I'll get some pizza." were coming out of my mouth, in a very short-tempered tone of voice, the girl said, "Look, she doesn't work here, we don't like her, and you need to stop talking about it."

I was momentarily shocked. I said, "I was done... I just tried to figure out where I messed up is all."

She ARGUED with me, "I'm done talking about this, so you should stop." Her tone was nasty and berating. It was awful sitting there feeling like I had somehow done something wrong when I had not. I told her I was way past it and then decided in that moment that I would never spend another dime there so long as she was employed there. I just shook my head and left, and as I did, she said, "Bye" in the most dismissive, insulting way she could. I have had bad customer service experiences, this was pretty bad. She had NO reason to speak to me that way or create the impression that I was still talking about something I was not.

She was argumentative when I wasn't even arguing, she was rude when she didn't have to be. I took very little of her time, less than a minute to work it out, and I left very angry.

So long as they hire people with such poor customer service skills, I will never spend another dime at any 'Just Pizza'. There's a 'Franco's' across the street, the food is better and no one has ever been rude...

Absolutely Unacceptable Experience

We placed an online order with Just Pizza on Niagara Falls Blvd at 12:24 PM on 5/20, with a scheduled pickup time of 12:49 PM. We have clients in from out of town for a lunch meeting, so we expected this to be quick and simple.

When we arrived at 12:45, we were told they had no record of our order, despite us showing a receipt and confirmation that our card had already been charged. Only then did they say they would start making it, with a new estimated wait of 45 minutes.

We returned after 45 minutes expecting it to be ready, and unbelievably, they still hadn’t even started making the order. It is now 2:00 PM and I’m still sitting here waiting for half the order. I'm sure half of the order will be cold.

This level of disorganization is not only unprofessional, it’s completely unacceptable, especially when people are relying on you to deliver during a workday lunch with guests. What was supposed to be a convenient pickup turned into a frustrating and embarrassing two-hour ordeal.

Used to be my favorite place for pizza and wings. Always been a little expensive but used to be worth it. After ordering today, getting a price of over ten dollars more then the online menu says. Picking up food, price I was charged was even different than the menu on the counter. So almost 50$ for a large one topping pizza a double wings....they even messed up one of the wing orders(denied it when I called) and honestly couldn’t have been any more rude when I called about that. I was polite about the wing order issue and the fact that it looked like as the pizza was cut, half of the toppings and cheese were clumped up in corners. It’s really too bad. They obviously don’t care about their customers anymore. Price is nuts and food has fallen off horribly. I will never order pizza from the Just Pizza in Amherst on the Niagara Falls Blvd ever again.
