Let me start out with, the food & prices are amazing! My issue is the accuracy of my orders. My first experience, I placed an order over the phone for a mixed schwarma platter over rice. I knew exactly what to order, as my husband had a taste of a coworker's the week prior & was raving over how good it was. Once we arrived there, it wasn't busy at all. We were told they didn't receive the order. I spoke with the gentleman myself. No big deal, things happen. Im not a "Karen" (sorry, I had to!! Lol). So, we stood there in awkward silence & said "okay, we aren't in a rush, we can wait. Can we place the order again?" We waited, & te food was amazing. Moving on to the next 2 orders within a few month period of eachother. We ordered 2 of the same dishes (mixed schwarma platters over rice), over the phone & showed up to having only one correct & the other was a wrap instead. No biggie again, we just took them. My husband ate the incorrect one. He liked it. So today, I placed the order over the phone. We ordered the same, 2 mixed schwarma platters over rice. The gentleman asked "the wrap or the platter?" I said "The platter with the mixed meat over rice, NOT the wrap." He politely said "Got it, give me about 25 minutes please!" No problem. I guess he hasnt learned to double check the order because he went to pick the order up, comes home, walks in, unties the bag & says "Geesh these look alot smaller than the platters." We open them, they are plain wraps, not even made the way they were before. No rice. Again, they were good but I feel, as a paying customer, I should get what I ordered. I understand things happen but can't help but to wonder how many customers your establishment has lost...

It’s been almost 8 years since the last time I had the REAL Shawerma sandwich 100% and that was in Syria. I’ve almost tried all Arab restaurants in Buffalo City, yet I never could enjoy or even say that I got Shawerma because they all made it look and taste like the regular chicken breast sandwich!! HOWEVER, I was amazed today when I tried the “Saj Chicken Shawerma” at this restaurant. I can finally say that I kinda ate shawerma sandwich ~ like 70%. Using the saj bread was a very good improvement that gave it yummy taste, thank you!!! I also like how it was served with strips of the pickled gherkins. My two notes are:

  1. The saj bread must be slightly touched the flame of the infrared burners or whatever stovetop that you guys use. Could you please not forget this important step in order to make ElSaj taste much better!
  2. The garlic sauce or toumia should be added to the menu as a dip and it should be spread as basis on the saj bread before placing the grilled chiken on. That would make the overall sandwich tastes yum and no less than any shawarma I would have had in any Middle Eastern restaurant in...

dont let the small place fool you. as it makes the best, tastiest and cleanest sandwitches i have ever eaten since i landed in this country three years ago... i have tried the flafel sandwitch with iraqi bread. and the chicken shawarma wrap. they are 100/100 delicious and they taste like the ones i used to eat back home in baghdad. the chicken is seasoned just perfect, and it tastes zesty. the flafel are so crunchy and fluffy and rich. the vegetable salad that is added to the sandwitch is clean, and cut into small stripes so they wont fall off the sandwitch and u wont have a bite of tomato chunk. the prices are very fare, we tool 2 flafel sandwitches, 1 chicken shawarma wrap and one pepsi for about 19$ only. i am definitly going back to this place, its close to my new house and it will be my go...

While I did not get the finely chopped shawarma as I get in India, it was still a good shawarma. Being mostly oil-free was a nice surprise. They did not mix veggies and chicken thoroughly but segregated them (yes, within the wrap!). It was a bit unexpected and interesting.

This has to be one of the best fish fries I've ever eaten. Came with a half a lemon slice, nice sauce, hot sauce over salad and the salad had pickles and all kinds of lovely dressing on it. What a wonderful meal! Thank you!
