Hands down some of the best Chinese food around. I’ve lived in Buffalo most my life and Lee’s is my favorite.
The staff including the kids are amazing. The inside is clean. The dumplings are simply the best and I love the dipping sauce I do not know what they use but it is delicious. Oh and you HAVE to try the House Chow Fun so good! When you do take out around the holidays they send you a cute bamboo calendar, the place is great.
I am sorry some of these bad reviews are just not an accurate representation. If it’s busy I am sorry but you’re going to wait this isn’t McDonalds? It’s a small family owned business and you know what they actually care. I would rather they take their time and cook my food right than rush like most other places. Also for anyone complaining about the kids working clearly did not grow up with a family business, I did and it is good for them. I have gone in multiple times and they are working on homework so it’s not like they are depriving them.
I can honestly say I’ve done eat in, take out plenty of times and not once was my food bad. Have I ordered during a rush and maybe something small is missed or I had a longer wait time sure but nothing major.
I highly recommend Lee’s go check it out and please be patient during a rush they are a family run restaurant. Thank you all for such great...
Read moreI’ll write this review honestly, and since I grew up in Chinese restaurants myself, I’ll be more strict with the review. I came in hungry with some friends to get some food. Then the owner’s kid sat us down and took our order. Ah, that was me years back. The kid did a pretty good job taking our order. And the food came out in order: soup, appetizer, main dish. Now as someone who grew up in Chinese restaurants, I have obviously tasted the food. While the food isn’t bad, it just isn’t as good as I expected. The food at the restaurants I worked at was better. I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s decent, but it wasn’t my expectations. The cold noodles got like a sweet and sour taste to it, while the taste I expected was sweet and creamy. I recommend using peanut butter. The hot and sour soup was fine, I should’ve asked for it to be more spicy and sour. The General Tso’s Chicken was also fine, though it wasn’t what I expected either. The General Tso’s Chicken from the restaurants I grew up in tasted better, that’s all. Nothing to say about the fried rice, it was fine too. Though I’d recommend to use egg yellow shade to give the rice the yellow color for authenticity. Maybe I’ll be back another day. Hope to see...
Read moreSo incredibly bad. I’ve just moved to the area, so was looking for a nice Chinese place. This place had high reviews on Google, so I gave it a try.
The floor is managed by 2 kids - about 10 y/o and 7 y/o. No big deal. My family owns a longstanding restaurant so I find this endearing. My issue was they are both handling/serving food and simultaneously taking the cash register. In addition, both were in shorts and open-toed shoes. That was concerning.
I entered to a restaurant to dine-in and it was packed with take-out guests waiting. I watched 3 walk out of frustration. One gentleman walked up and spoke to the girl at the register and told her he has been waiting an hour. He asked her how much longer. She shrugged and told him she did not know.
I had not had my dine-in order at the one hour mark. I went up to pay my tab and asked for it to be placed to-go. The boy says, “I’m taking 10% your food for the long wait.” Still $25.00. After 10 minutes, the take-out order wasn’t ready. I walked out without the food.
I want my...
