Brooklyn Fish - Chicken & Soul Food — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

It takes a lot out of me to write this review especially at a place that I often eat I came into this establishment to order some pork chops for me and the family as I was waiting in line there were another customer ahead of me and they was ordering the same thing. The representative told The customer in front of me that she only has one pork chop and she is not making any more ..... well to my surprise I was told again very blunt that there's only one pork chop and she's not making any more. So I ask again because normally and the other they tell you it will take about 15 to 20 minutes it will be a while. This is what I was expected but to my surprise again she told both of us she has one pork chop and is she's not making any more it is just the two of them there any problems you see Tommy it is not her problem. I don't know if the customer service representative in this establishment needs some Training but I hope after this review she will be evaluated for the training that she will need in the upcoming future to deal with situations when they arise. I was very disappointment to know there was no chance that she was going to make it it's not because they didn't have it she told me she was not making it there was a whole lot more said but this was the part of the conversation that made me sour and it had me come on here to write a review I never thought that I would be writing a review in my own Hometown since most of my travels for work is out of the u.s. so in my conclusion I will tell most of my followers that yes this is a very good Ixtapa shmon if you want some very tasteful Soul food. But they also need to recognize that this is not the only establishment to eat food there is three more and Amityville to eat from like I told the representative I will be doing this because I'm a voice of course she says she doesn't care. So by the way my favorite is in the morning I get the grits and fish with egg and cheese this platter is unbelievable that grits is tasteful but not lumpy I highly recommend this dish.... at night I have the turkey wing with a side of macaroni and cheese and gravy from the yams.. now 1 of a customer service representative that is here is Stephanie she's the one who always deal with me but she was night...

The food at this establishment is very good however the customer service is trash. This was my second time at this establishment. Three days ago at 835pm I came in and ordered mac and cheese. I ordered the large but asked the staff to take off 1 scoop because I didn't want to waste food. The staff dropped the price for me. Unfortunately, that didn't happen today. The staff today told me that I didn't get that type of deal there. She was so intent on making her point she thought I said that I paid 8.35 3 days ago. I instantly realized 2 things. 1 The employee who served me 3 days ago was being nice. So today I paid 16 plus for mac and cheese and left a tip. I believe in tipping especially if the food is good. Before I left I told that staff member today that the price wasn't the issue, I didn't want to purchase a large and not eat it all. Wasting food is unacceptable to me. I also told her that the food is really good and it's unfortunate that I won't be back. The second thing I realized is this staff member today has always been rude and me pointing out the employee that helped me 3 days wouldn't change that type of behavior. It might have gotten that staff member who helped me 3 days ago in trouble. I definitely didn't want that to happen. Good customer service is just as important as good food. They go...

Prices are high & food is so-so... Soul food cooked by people who don't eat it... If you don't eat it, then you don't know how it should taste... I have had better & can cook better for less. When the old cook was there the food tasted way better. And he at least was able to sample the food and say this isn't done yet. Now there are Spanish cooks in the back who most likely do not eat the food, so they're not used to cooking it and can't say when it's done or not done. No offense to race meant. Being realistic. Half cooked super tough turkey & canned green beans with flavor. Half the fish order & same price. Meals got smaller, but the price didn't decrease. High-priced without good reason. Food ain't worth the price... I'm always happy to support small businesses but they gotta do better. Else they will lose my business, but I guess that's just "Tough Turkey!" Pun intended.

I did this review for the one in Wyandanch and I see Google put it as Amityville, I'm not sure...
