Decided to try Wogies since it recently opened and was unfortunately very disappointed. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Food was okay but nothing special, and I had hoped for a bit more. Service was slow and we were looking for our waitress for periods of time. What really turned us off: when ordering drinks I requested an aperol spritz with “a little more aperol”. Typically a restaurant may just add a splash more aperol or just remove some prosecco from the drink and replace it with more aperol to change the ratios. Upon receiving the bill, we noticed we had two charges for my one drink. Our waitress explained that we were charged $11 for “an extra shot of aperol” because she didn’t know how else to add it to the system. I found this quite absurd and deceptive, as this was not disclosed upon initially ordering my drink—nor have I ever had any other restaurant add such a charge for this type of request. I don’t even think an additional shot of vodka would cost that much, let alone aperol. I am not sure if the waitress was improperly trained on this or if this is just a policy at this restaurant, but that is something I have never experienced at the many restaurants I have dined at and it was, unfortunately, a major...
Read moreCool place, will try again. The fried pickles were off. Too much breadcrumbs and too little pickle. The breadcrumbs were also burned. Same with my daughter’s buffalo chicken “fingers”. I think the fryer was too hot. The fingers were not traditional chicken fingers at all. It was chicken cutlet sliced into fingers. Just call it sliced chicken cutlet. Fingers are entirely different.
I had the chicken cheesesteak which was very good. I added banana peppers and instead of cooking them in, they threw them on top which was weird.
Prices are high and you get no side with your $16 sandwich. Not even a little handful of chips.
Our server was super friendly but the bartender who brought our drinks, not so much. When I asked for a glass for my canned cider he brought me a warm and wet pint glass.
Will try again, they need to work...
Read moreWent to try out a new spot and was very disappointed. We started with the mozzarella balls, which were cold on the inside. We did tell our server and I heard him reiterate the information to someone else and yet nothing was done. We were hungry so we did finish them, but I feel like they should’ve been replaced as soon as we alerted our server to the issue which was on the first ball. I got a traditional cheesesteak. The bread was overcooked. The meat wasn’t awful. My daughter got the Don I believe which is a pork sandwich with broccoli rabe. There was nothing incredibly wrong with it. It was just subpar. In the end, we got one appetizer two sandwiches with no fries or anything and a Diet Coke and ended up spending $70! Our server was friendly and pleasant so there’s something nice I...
