Tazza Cafe - Katonah — Restaurant in Town of Bedford

Such a shame. The coffee & food is great (when they actually are willing to serve it). However this particular location (Katonah) has the most inconsistent service! It’s all teenagers minus the main manager (who is very nice). The teenagers constantly change, so I’m assuming they keep quitting or getting fired. They are very lazy workers. I stood there the other day while this male teenager continued to talk to his coworker about his story for awhile and then looked at me like I was interrupting their social house. They have made me several wrong drinks over various visits. And the most annoying part is that none of them are on the same page with what they serve and don’t serve. The menu should be available all day unless specified on the sign. I get VERY inconsistent service here. The young employees hate having to “make” any food and that is very clear. They seem willing to grab a muffin from the showcase but if they have to add anything to a blender or cut a banana, forget it. The best is that they lie about “rules” because they don’t want to make it. One day they claim after 11am they do not make a particular food or drink. The next week a different teen claims they don’t do that after 2pm, another one told me they don’t do that on weekends. The manager himself flat out told me to my face that the kids are not competent to make certain things. We were talking about açaí bowls. It is a frozen packet of açaí with water and ice added to a blender, then you just cut fruit and put it on top! How lazy can an employee be not to make that? It’s a food and beverage business.... employees should be trained and required to serve what is on their menu. I have driven far out of my way to other towns to go to a tazza that will actually provide real service, which they always do regardless of the time of day. It’s a shame like I said because it’s a cute spot and the drinks and food are good when served. Beyond frustrating because this one is so close...

I want to begin by saying I don’t normally write reviews. The customer service here was terrible. I went in here earlier to get a fruit cup and water. Everything was okay. 10-15 minutes before closing (which I understand is a hectic time. I work part time in retail I get it when there is THAT customer who is still there when you’re about to close - I get it) but nevertheless I needed to use the restroom because it was an emergency. I was treated SO rudely and turned away because it was in the process of being cleaned. I honestly couldn’t believe how rude the associate was. It’s never appropriate to treat a customer disrespectfully and be unkind, especially when the woman was asked ‘by me’ in a calm voice if I could use it. It’s just not right. Due to that awful experience I would not recommend this place to anyone. Kindness matters. The food may or may not be great, but customer service is just...

TLDR: bad coffee and sour milk.

I had 30 minutes to waste and thought I’d get a coffee from here. Terrible coffee, no flavor at all, and fairly sure the milk was sour as it tasted weird and my stomach has been upset for the last few hours. I sat with my daughter and shared some banana cake which was good. Looking at the other reviews you have to wonder how this place stays open as these are reoccurring issues.
