Sushi Shine — Restaurant in Town of Bethlehem

We have probably been here six times since it opened. Our experiences started great but have been going downhill as time has gone on and last night was quite bad. Our waitress was nasty. She made faces at us and hurried us through our first order. She left our hot food on the counter up front until it was cold. She delivered part of my wife's and part of our daughter's orders but nothing for me. After about fifteen minutes of no food, I asked for the rest of our orders and saw that they had been sitting on the counter with the other finished orders. She just hadn't bothered to check. Several of our orders were wrong. Our waitress was playing on her phone and ignoring all of her tables, so another, who noticed this, started taking care of our whole section. She was nice. Not her fault, but more parts of our order were wrong, including one roll that had been made correctly earlier, came out different than the first and different than the menu description. The problem with getting the wrong food or the food made incorrectly is you are supposed to finish everything they bring or face an extra ala carte charge. My son has been dying to try Sushi Shine All You Can Eat in Glenmont, we decided to go today Saturday 7/26/25 for lunch!! We arrived at 12 noon, as we walked in there’s a lovely sign with their All You Can Eat pricing: $17.99 for lunch, $27.99 for dinner. We are seated by a very nice waitress, dad also joined us for lunch! We order off the menu, some appetizers, sushi, rolls etc.; the food was OK, small portions, nothing to write home about. The SHOCK came when we received our check; they charged us $27.99 each (dinner pricing). When I questioned the waitress I was told “this is the ‘weekend price’, the other price is for Monday through Friday”. Nowhere on the sign, or the menu, did it indicate the “weekend” pricing, nor were we told this when we sat down. We expressed our anger to our waitress, and another waitress, they would not honor their sign with the “lunch” pricing. This was my second time at Sushi Shine. The first time I was here, it was the stores grand opening and my friends and I had an amazing time. This second time, just a few months later, was far better. If you are into food textures along with their taste, I would recommend the salmon sashimi. Forget about the sashimi, every item was above our expectations. We also ate the chicken yakitori and enjoyed most of the sushi menu. Amongst all the AYCE sushi spots in the area, this is the best I’ve been to. They make you feel welcomed and wanted as well.
