Absolutely NOT family friendly. Had over 20 people celebrating an engagement, staff was unbelievably rude about children being there. There was 4 toddlers who spent most of the meal in their high chairs. Towards the end of the time there the kids got antsy and played near our large groups two tables. It is a rainy and cold Saturday afternoon with just one other table near us and 3 people at the bar. As the staff is cleaning up our plates one of them ask if the kids could please return to their seats. They were off to the side and not in the way of the staff. One of the mothers responded by saying give us our check, weâre all finished, weâre just going to leave. They still didnât bring our check, my son is upset and begins to cry like a 2 year old does, one of the staff members asked me âwould he be better if he were outside?â I said no, itâs cold and raining, give us our check so we can get out of your hair. One of the children were playing with a aluminum foil container and the waitress ripped it out of her hands because it was too noisy. My tables check was over 375 dollars and I have no idea how much the other table in my party was but they had more people than us at their table. We spent all this money on a rainy Saturday afternoon and still got treated like weâre the bad guys for trying to have a family outing at their restaurant. There attitudes all made sense when I realized gratuity was included. They did not care how they treated us. Shame because the food was good and we live 8 minutes away, but I will not be back. Thereâs plenty of family friendly breweries and wineries in the Hudson Valley that would never...
Read moreHad a reservation for 2 and upon arriving the smell of the food was incredible!! The hostess was very friendly and just amazing! Our waitress Valerie, was nothing short of amazing! Very friendly and welcoming! We started with the crab cakes. There are 2 for the appetizer but the size of them was huge! Crisp outside with delicious seasoning. The best crab cake I've had in my life! Then for the entrÊes. I ordered the salmon with pineapple salsa, coconut seasoned rice and sautÊ asparagus. The serving was a great size and the plating was beautiful! My friend got the chicken and waffles. We split our meals and got sharing plates so we could experience both dishes. The chicken, was perfect! Nice and crispy and very juicy. The waffles were light and fluffy with a hint of vanilla sweetness. The bourbon maple syrup was divine and they had a light fluffy cream cheese spread with cinnamon and honey that made it superb! Pleasantly satisfied and full, we didn't have enough room for dessert. We needed boxes to go. But I am very eager to try more! Honestly, their cooks know what they are doing and it's very clear in the taste and presentation of the food. The staff is again nothing short of amazing! If you want good food, great service and feel like family, I highly...
Read moreWhat a pleasant experience! We always make it a point to visit Brotherhood Winery, and being it is only 20miles from us, I wish we visited more.
A later Saturday afternoon to do a tasting, buy a case or two and some dinner.
I love the venue, as it is relaxing, and can be as fancy or as laid back as you want.
Very attentive staff, great cocktails and a nice wine selection.
The appetizers, and entrees had a phenomenal flavor profile, well prepared, generous portions and overall a very satisfying meal.
We will be back and next time to sample the brunch menu.
If you are visiting the area, special trip for the Shawangunk Wine Trail for the Holidays ( which is fun by the way) - be sure to stop at 1839 for...
