I never went to an establishment who gets frustrated with the customer who is frustrated after receiving cold food and waiting a long time to get the food I understand that things get busy and the long wait for the food isn’t the problem the problem is as a server you shouldn’t get frustrated with the customer because you’re busy that’s part of the job. Definitely need some customer training skill classes for the servers and the managers, especially as a manager shouldn’t get frustrated with a frustrated customer their job is to deal with that customer and try to resolve the issue without getting upset with the person who paying for a service. Was excited to try this place because it was our first time but for our frustration with our service that we pay for to get basically dismissed by the manager because it’s RIT graduation and Mother’s day weekend isn’t an excuse got to do better. We’ll just take our business elsewhere. Good luck! Addendum I never said anything about 2 hour wait I said how unprofessional ya are obviously everyone can see by the way you responded to this review that I have every right to give as a paying customer. You brag that a party of 6 bill of $71 was responsible when one of the people of the party was a 2 year old who didn’t order a meal and two out of the 5 meals services were were either cold or the bread of the sandwich looked like it was soaked in water. Like I said in the first part of this comment do better we’re paying customers it’s very sad to see this place be handled by emotional individuals who don’t know how to take criticism which I have the right to give as an consumer. Be blessed and...
Read moreWe waited a 20 minutes to be seated for a party of 5 for breakfast (which was fine). We waited 20 minutes for our breakfast (which was fine as we knew they were busy). We finished our breakfast in 10 minutes and we were enjoying our coffee that had just been refilled when we were asked to leave because there was a large party waiting... Because of this - WE WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN!!! This was our first experience with this place...have never, ever been treated this way in an establishment. Very, very disappointed...
Update July 01, 2022. We returned to Sunny's with relatives in tow. We were allowed to sit under the tent and had lovely shade and cool breezes. We arrived at about 8:30 AM. The staff was overwhelmed - they didn't appear to have as many people as they needed. However, our server was friendly and efficient. The food was not as good as our first visit. The pancakes were underdone - maybe the griddle wasn't cooperating or the Pancake Magician wasn't scheduled to work that day. The toast was cold and dry. We had a veggie omelet (large and bursting with veggies), corned beef hash and eggs (stingy portion on the hash but the eggs were nicely cooked the way I ordered them), sausage and eggs w/pancakes, and biscuits w/sausage gravy (gravy was bland and was not applied as liberally to the biscuits as would have been preferred). Our drinks were refilled frequently by the server - appreciated since we were the only group outside and could have easily been neglected. The meals were pleasant and we had lots of space to ourselves under the tent. We will still go back to Sunny's - I'm curious to try some of the lunch items. Today (June 05, 2022) was our first visit to Sunny's Diner for breakfast. We sat outside at one of the umbrella picnic tables. Our server was positive, friendly, funny and prompt. We enjoyed tremendous breakfasts (pancakes, irish eggs benedict, and a breakfast platter, a bowl of beef + orzo soup) that were prepared with care and had enormous portions. We love a good breakfast and the kitchen staff has serious skills in this department. We...
